"Of course." Dipper hissed, shoving the Camara into his pocket. He had alot of footage saved on there, his guide to the unexplained all in a single small worn down object. He had been so salty the day he hadn't caught the hide behind, he forgot about the previous Camera. If he managed to get the old thing working, he could go over his footage and see the creatures that were caught on tape. "Sounds like a good idea to pass the time..." Dipper mused, heading back to the shack.
Wait... where was the shack again?
Dipper looked around, all the trees seeming terribly identical. No footsteps were evident in the ground because of the thick cover of pine needles, and as far as Dipper could see, no familer landscapes we're in sight. Dipper sighed, slumping forward with a tired expression.
"Oh great."
------------------------------------------------------------------
After what seemed like hours, Dipper finally stumbled upon something that wasn't seemingly endless trees.
Dipper slid through a tight cluster of bushes, appearing in a small clearing. The denser cover was split, light beaming down onto a splintery cabin, the door hanging askew of it's hinges, looking like it could fall at any moment. Just like Dipper, as he stumbled through the bushes, getting a mouthful of their cover, spitting out deep green leaves.
"Ugh- woah."
He stared at the cabin, walking straight up to it carefully. He gently lied his hand on the rickety wood, peeking inside the slightly agape door hesitantly. Compared to it's outside appearance, the inside was rather nice, a soft baby blue carpet lining the floor. A skinny bed was pressed to the wall, it's sheets thin and plagued with holes. But Dipper was certainly taken aback when he saw what lied in the bed, sleeping like a baby.
A skeletal black figure breathed in and out, it's ribs poking through it's skin as it's chest rose and fell. It was way too big for the bed, looking like a overgrown and malformed person that was doused in pitch black paint.
"What in the...?"
The creature shifted with a odd groan, the bed creaking with protest. Dipper quickly ducked out of the doorway, pressing himself to the side of the cabin to fully hide himself. He kept deathly quiet as the creature's heavy steps hollowed through the cabin, stalking closer. Making sure the camera was still secured in his pocket, Dipper tensed, prepared to take off. The 13 year old knew he should probably be running by now, but he's never stumbled across a creature like this; he has to figure out more, even if he might get hurt.
He snatched a nearby stick, relief flooding through his veins as he noticed the edge was sharp. He knew a strong stick wouldn't do much, but what other choice did he have? It's not like he could just beat the crap out of the creature.
Finally, it pushed open the barely hanging on door, sniffing the air.
It was huge.
Dipper had no idea how it was able to live the the cabin, hunching over constantly and sleeping in such a small bed. But the second it stepped out, it towered over the small thirteen year old.
Dipper's eyes widened as his throat let out a small squeak of awe and fear, despite his attempts to keep quiet. The creature's head snapped to the source, staring down at the boy. It's two hollow spots that Dipper assumed we're it's eyes widened, and it let out a terrifying growl.
"Who dare try to catch the hide behind!"
Well this was going to be fun.
"What!? No I just-"
