Chaoter 2 - Bliss

I just stared in awe at Steph. Jay had just let her go, her heart was racing, she was calculating what had just happened, it hadn’t sunk in yet. The man with the clipboard opened the door, “Times up girls, out you come”.

“Thanks so much for this, you are the most amazing people in the world, I love you all so much” Steph said to the boys as we walked to the door.

I turned round and looked at all five boys, “I love you all” I said.

“We are glad you had… erm fun” Siva said, still looking slightly worried.

Steph answered this half question “Don’t worry we did”.

Jay smiled at her, his eyes never leaving her face, as though he was searching for something. We were now leaving the door out into the real world. Suddenly I remembered something that I was meant to ask the boys. I twisted round and shouted “Please answer your fan mail soon”, I looked directly at Max, he was looking back at me, smiling. I got chills, and a sense of longing, but I was being stupid.

“We had free days yesterday and the day before so we did all the fan mail then” Nathan shouted back with a wink.

The fans outside were still chatting in small groups excitedly, just like me and Steph were ten minutes ago. Steph was still in shock from the encounter we had just had.

“What just happened” Steph said staring blankly into thin air.

“Well you just got a mega hug off Jay McGuiness, and met The Wanted. Steph your dream just came through, and it was so amazing, Jay actually cares about you, he cares, and he is there for you he even said it” I said to her. She didn’t say anything. She just smiled. I held out my hand and she took it, we sprinted off to the place where we were to wait until everyone had met the boys.

It was a hot day, so we just flumped down on the grass.

“I did it, everyone was right” Steph exclaimed.

“About what?” I questioned.

“That one of Jay’s hugs would make everything better” Steph said. She sighed and closed her eyes. I could tell that she was replaying the moment in her head over and over again. I couldn’t help but chuckle, Steph’s grin widened when she heard me laugh, this made me laugh louder, but I wanted to let Steph keep this moment for as long as possible. I lay on the grass, my hands behind my head. I watched the clouds for a little bit, but got distracted as Max’s smile flashed through my head, I smiled and sighed. Steph opened her eyes. She could tell that I was thinking of Max, not that we could think of anything other than The Wanted at the moment after the incredible experience.

“They are really something in person, aren’t they” Steph said, still smiling.

“They are amazing, they were all so cute and caring for you it was so amazing” I was bursting to tell her what I felt like when Max smiled at me, but I didn’t, this was her moment, she had wanted this for over a year and it had finally happened.

It was bliss; the sun was shining down on us. We had just met the five most amazing boys in the world. It couldn’t get any better than this, but then The Wanted’s last words came into my head ‘We had free days yesterday and the day before so we did all the fan mail then’ could they have answered it, Steph didn’t know about this, it was all for her. I hoped that they would answer but knowing my luck it probably got lost in the post or it was missed. I would have to wait and see.

“What you thinking about?” Steph said lazily, the sun was making her tired.

“Nothing… well The Wanted obviously” I said with a smile, “has it sunk in yet?” I asked.

“Hmmmm I am not sure, I don’t think I believe it, this can’t be real. I am going to wake up and it will have all been a dream” she told me, she looked sad.

I leant over to her and pinched her arm.

“What was that for” she said with a questioning tone.

“You are not dreaming see, it’s all real so you better start believing it” I said, a wide smile on my face.

Steph burst out laughing “Can you imagine Livi’s and Caz’s Faces when they see the photos of Siva and Nath”.

This made me start laughing “Yeah it will be so funny, and I snapped one of you and Jay hugging, they are going to be really jealous”.

For the next ten minutes we were occupied with doing impressions of what we thought our friends faces would look like, this was the end to a perfect morning.

We had the concert in the afternoon. It was like nothing I had ever seen before. The Wanted’s voices were amazing, even better live. Jay blew a kiss at Steph and Tom winked at me. It was all so overwhelming. Steph was singing at the top of her voice, she was having the time of her life. I was to, but I couldn’t help but wishing that Max would notice me, but again I reminded myself that I was being stupid.

When the concert ended it was half ten, we got in the car to go home. We were both really tired since we had got up at twenty past six in the morning to get ready. We talked about The Wanted and how amazing they were for ages, Steph’s mum was driving us back. She just listened smiling all the time she was glad that her daughters dream had come through and that she had found someone to share it with. We ended up falling asleep, our heads supporting each other. I was glad that I had a friend like Steph, I wouldn’t have wanted to share this with anyone else.
