AMY'S P.O.V.
I didn't know what to do, so I pulled out the engagement ring and stared at it. It was so beautiful, if this was 2 months ago I would've easily said yes. I sighed and put it away, as I sat patiently on Mike's bed. Then I heard a low knock coming from the door, I stood up and opened the door. Vic quietly slipped in and sat on the bed. I closed the door, then went back to sit down next to Vic. "I'm sorry," he said as he gazed into my eyes. "I'm sorry I hurt you," he said as he gently rubbed my wrists.
"I forgive you," I said as I looked at him. "So you're going to tell Gerard no right?" He said, "I don't know." I looked down to my knees, but then he lifted my face to meet his. "Let's go for a drive, so we could think," he said, knowing that being on the road always clears my head. We stood up and said goodbye to his brother, as we got into the car. It was getting dark outside, which made the drive seem 10x better.
"Do you love him?" He asked as we came to a stop. "You know I do," I whispered. "Then say yes," he said. "What?" I asked in pure disbelief. "Say yes if you love him, but remember that I can't be your friend." He said. "Well, why not?" I cried a bit. "Because I love you, and I don't want to be your backup boyfriend." I looked at him and said, "Vic, I'm sorry." "It's okay," he placed his hand on top of mine.
"I'll miss-" I was cut off by a loud horn and then before I knew it, we started flipping in the car. I blacked out, but woke up later to the sound of distant sirens. We were upside down in the car, and Vic was knocked out with blood all over his face. I started to cough, and It felt like pieces of glass were stuck in my throat, because when I looked at my hand, it was splattered in blood. I felt like my body was giving out, and I could feel myself drifting off to oblivion. I pulled my phone out with the last inch of strength I had a d dialed Gerard's number. Not knowing if I'd ever see him again.
"Heyy," he sweetly said. "Gerard, Vic and I got into a car crash. I don't know where we are, but we're stuck in his car. Everything just hurts, and I want you to know that I love you. I want you to know that I want to marry you," I cried as I tried to stay awake. But I couldn't hold on any longer, and I slowly fell asleep.
GERARD'S P.O.V.
Once I heard the phone drop, I knew she must have passed out. I quickly went to get a taxi cab, and had them drive towards Vic's home, but on our way there the street appeared to be closed. Then I saw the car, and immediately knew it was her. "Stop the car!!!" I yelled as I rushed out and shoved my way to the front of the crowds who gathered to watch the police and paramedics. I watched the firefighters trying to get the doors cut open, since it's frame was crushed under the weight of the car.
"Excuse me, that's my fiancé!!" I yelled to the nearest cop. "We can't let you in sir, but we can get a paramedic tell you which hospital they'll be taking them." The cop politely said as he went to go talk to someone. I then saw the firefighters pull of the door, and carefully pull out a body covered in blood. My heart immediately sank, it was Amy. Then the engagement box fell from her coat, so I asked the same cop to bring it to me. I shoved it into my pocket and continued to watch them strap Amy into a gurney. It was the most painful thing I have ever had to watch, and I'm so scared of what might happen. I was just crying because I could lose her, and there wouldn't be any coming back from this loss.
Then they pulled out another body, Vic's. I felt terribly awful for him, no one deserves this. Once the ambulance left to rush to the hospital, I jumped back into the taxi and followed them. It was the most frustrating time of my life, not knowing how she was doing. All they said was that she was in surgery, but nothing more. I practically spent hours just sitting in the waiting room.
At some point the hospital contacted Vic's family, and they all came rushing into the waiting room panicking. Mike had recognized me from earlier and came over to talk to me. "Hey man, how you holding up?" He asked as he took the empty seat next to me. Then his parents joined him and sat on his right side. "Not great at all. I was there when they pulled out both of their bodies. It was the scariest thing I've ever seen, the car was flipped upside down. They even had to cut out a frame because the doors were crushed." I explained to Mike who sympathetically looked at me. "I just hope they're all right. Has anyone talked to you?" He asked while grabbing his mothers hand.
"A nurse told me a couple of hours ago Amy and Vic were in surgery, but they wouldn't release any more information on Vic because I wasn't family." I said trying to not worry his family, "what about Amy?" He asked. "Well they said that they would let me know when she's out of surgery, but it's been what, 3 hours." I looked at him and noticed he was a bit confused. "Wait, why did they tell you about Amy if you aren't family?" He asked. "She doesn't have any family, her parents are dead. So I told them she was my fiancé," I said not telling him about Amy's phone call because that's between us.
We sat there in silence for another hour. I actually went to get everyone coffee, and when I came back a nurse was talking to them. "The surgery was a success, he's going to be just fine in a couple of weeks." She said, while Vic's mom cried onto her husbands shoulder. "What about Amy?" I interrupted. "Amelia-" "YES," I cut her off. "Surgery was also a success but she's in intensive care because her injuries were more serious than the drivers." The nurse said as she flipped through the papers on the clipboard. "Vic is on the second floor, room 23A," the nurse said.
"Let's go then," Vic's dad said as they all rushed to the elevator. "And Amy?" I asked while throwing away all the coffees except for mine. "She's on the 5th floor, room 14C. She's currently sleeping, so I would be quiet when up there because she needs a lot of rest " she said, and I started jogging towards the elevators. I waited impatiently inside of the lift while drinking my coffee. Once the doors opened, I ran down the halls until I reached her room. I looked through the door and saw a ton of wires connected to her and the bed. She had a small cut on her forehead, but her arms were completely bruised.
Her hair was down, and pieces were stuck to the sweat on her forehead. I slowly crept in and pulled a chair next to her. I sat there and watched her sleep. I felt so grateful that she was alive, that she was breathing. I gently held her hand in mine, feeling her icy touch. I pulled out the engagement ring, and carefully put it on her ring finger. Seeing her like this is such an eye opener you know, it's like making me not want to take things for granted.
I've been drinking non stop for the entire summer, sometimes I felt like I was going to die. I almost did, I wanted to kill myself. My producer stopped me from doing it, he stayed on the phone with me for hours until I went out on a walk with our tour manager. When I had come back I was so tired and my high was starting to wear down, that I passed out. I don't want to be like that anymore. This makes me realize that I have to be strong, not only for Amy but for myself. I have to get sober, I can't keep on living like this.
I want to be able to be the boyfriend, no, the husband she deserves. I love her, and I can't see myself being without her.
FRANKIE'S P.O.V.
"I just got off the phone with Gerard and apparently Amy got into a car accident. She's out of surgery but she's in intensive care," I said to the guys who impatiently waited for the news of Amy's health. We've all just been sitting around the living room trying to figure out what we should do. "I can't believe this happened, but I'm just glad Gerard is there with her," Mikey said as he buried his face into his hands.
"Should we fly out there? Just to see her, because if she's in intensive care, I don't think she's leaving that hospital any time soon." Ray explained as we all listened with an open mind on what we should do. "I say we go, but we need to talk to G first," Bob said. "Why?" I asked as I folded my arms over my chest. "So he knows to expect us."
"Yeah," I sighed. I'm just so confused as to what Gerard was doing there in the first place. Katie has told us right after he left that she told him where Amy was because she wanted them to be together. At first I was a bit frustrated with her, but she had good intentions. I want to see them work it out also, but I just felt like Amy deserved some time to heal. I scratched my head a bit and walked out to the backyard to smoke.
It was so tense inside that I just need a little breather. My phone began to ring again, and it was Gerard calling. "What happened?" I asked because I had just gotten off the phone with him 20 minutes ago. "It's Amy, she," he took a deep breath which was making me feel scared. "She lost her memory."
Ugh omg I feel like this chapter was a awkwardly written, I've been trying to go over it for days but I can't seem to get it right. But I also don't want to leave you hanging for a week or something. Maybe once I finished this story, I'll go back and fix some things up. I'm also planning to write a sequel for this story, because I just really love the concept. But enough blabbering, I hope you all enjoy the story, love you all.
