‘why? they can’t hear me’ she said and I shrugged while walking over to the door. I opened it and saw Jaden standing there
‘hey Jaden, what are you doing here?’
‘why were you laughing?’
‘may I not laugh?’ I asked
‘yes you may, but it was out of nowhere, I was watching TV and suddenly I heard you laugh’
‘Evangeline, say that you were reading a book and that you had to laugh at something’ Angelina whispered in my ear ‘I put a book on your cushion’ she finished
I said just as she said to me to say ‘I was reading a book and I had to laugh at something’
‘oh really? which book? I might know it’ I started panicking, but made sure not to show it in my face because I know how to put on a poker face!.
‘snow white’ Angelina helped me
‘snow white’ I said to him
‘why were you reading that book?’ he asked me amused
‘I just wanted to escape for a while’ I said and he nodded
‘I can understand that. do you mind if I escape with you?’
‘yeah sure? But why?’
‘uhm’ he scratched his neck and I looked at him with a “what are you hiding” look
‘okay, you got me. I just wanted to spend some time with you, after all, you are my sister’ I nodded
‘come in’
‘Evangeline?’ I looked at Angelina
‘can I join you? or do you want to spend time with your brother?’ I made a motion for her to come in that only she could see
‘thank you’ we all sat on my bed, I in the middle with the book in my hand and Jaden on my left side and Angelina on my right side
‘is it okay if you start again?’ I shook my head
‘no that’s okay’ I opened the book on page three (where the story started) and started reading in my head.
I had to wait a full minute before I could turn the page because Jaden was a really slow reader, and so was Angelina
“they would have been perfect for each other” I thought and Angelina elbowed me while reading further
“can you read thoughts?” I thought
‘not only that, but I can also talk in your head’
“oh my god! That’s so cool. Now we can have secret conversations” no, because Marcus can also read thoughts remember?
“oh yeah, but do you know how I can block him?” I do
“tell me!”
‘turn the page please’ Jaden asked me and I turned the page and read
“hold on” I read the pages and then focused on Angelina again
“okay, tell me”
‘you have to build a wall around your thoughts’
“how am I supposed to do that?”
‘you know how a wall looks like don’t you?’
“yeah”
‘well, try image to build it around your brain brick for brick’
I tried building a wall, but first I imagined my brain. When I saw it I putted a brick on a brick etc. and when I was done I started talking to Angelina
