The phone ringing woke me up from my Tuesday nap. I groaned and stood on my feet to pick it up

"Hello?" I said into the phone with a raspy voice

"Ms. Smith the principal's secretary is speaking. Mr. Hogan is asking for you. Could you make it in ten minutes?" The young-sounding lady asked as I widened my eyes

What would be that important that they want me to come right now? Did I do something?

"Of course, I'll be there in a minute" I answered politely before hanging up and putting on something else than sweatpants and a tank top

Seven minutes after, I arrived at the secretary's office out of breath. I ran almost the whole time

"Ms. Smith the principal is waiting for you" she smiled and pointed at the door where the word principal is written

I gulped but managed to smile at her and knocked on the door before walking in

The sign of the principal giving me serious looks made my throat clench but when I closed the door, the sign of Tom sitting on the chair in front of the principal made me go crazy inside

"Yes Mr. Hogan you wanted me to come," I said nervously trying to sound as calmly as I should be

"Yes ms please take a seat" he pointed at the chair next to Tom. I sat there and gave Tom a confused look on which he answered with the same expression

"I won't waste time with some nonsense around. Mr. Holland, you're here for four months am I right?" The principal asked. Tom nodded his head. "And you miss, you're here for the second year right?" I nodded my head as Tom did

"Alright, one of the students saw you two doing some sexual content in your classroom Mr. Holland" me and Tom both widened my eyes at that. I didn't hear anyone yesterday "it is my duty to report it. Mr. Holland, Ms. Smith you have to choose one who will stay and one who will go away. We do not tolerate this at our school" the principal finished as I looked down fighting my tears. This can't be happening

"Mr. Hogan, are you sure the person that told you isn't lying?" Tom tried to say with a stern voice

"Yes, I am sure Mr. Holland and the cameras in your classroom may agree with me. This happened more than once when you did something against our rules" the principal said as I covered my mouth. Do they have cameras? So they saw it all

"I understand Mr. Hogan, we will tell you our decision tomorrow" Tom stood up and held my hand to help me get out of the office and into my dorm. I did my best to not break into tears on the way here

"This can't be happening, please tell me it's just a joke" I sobbed and finally let the tears slip out of my eyes

"I'm so sorry" he whispered and hugged me

"I-I....what will we do?" I cried and pulled away to calm my breathing while walking

"Isn't it obvious? I'll go and you will stay I don't want you to leave, it's your dream school" Tom said and stopped me from walking

"No. When you'll leave the reputation you had here, the fact that you date your student, it'll go everywhere with you and you'll never find the job you love" I argued back and shook my head "I won't let that happen. I'll go and you stay it's the only way" I nodded my head positive about my decision
