I took a quick shower as soon as I got home and crashed on my bed and was just about to fall asleep when I heard a knock on my room's door.

"Mrs. Miller asked me to make sure you have your dinner before going to bed" Louise, the lady who has been our family help since years now, said with a warm smile on her face, which evoked slight wrinkles at the corner of her eyes.

She's in her early forties.

"I don't feel like eating, Lou" I replied burring my face in the pillow.

"Well...Mrs. Miller will kill me if she finds out that you slept without having any food" Louise said walking in my room with a tray of food, I assume.

"Are you okay? Miss Cynthia" She asked a moment later when I didn't react to her words.

"I don't know, Lou...I'm just a little...upset I guess" I replied raising my head from the pillow and sitting up straight.

"Is there anything I can do about it? Miss Cynthia" Louise asked and I could sense a hint of concern in her voice which made me smile.

"No, Lou. I don't think you can do anything about it...because I myself don't know why I'm upset..." I paused.

"But yeah I guess I'll have to have dinner so that your Mrs. Miller and my mother spares your dear life" I continued with a small smile.

"Very well then" She replied with a wide smile.

"Have a goodnight, Miss Cynthia" She added while leaving and closing the door on her way out.

I sighed looking down at the plate of food and even though I don't feel like eating but now that it has been served already, I have to eat it as my mother always says that we should never disrespect our food and should always be thankful to God that he never let's us sleep with an empty stomach.

The next morning as usual I was running late for school, to which I was kinda thankful because it gave me nearly no time to think about that egoistic Damien.

"Hey. Good morning, Dad" I greeted walking in the dining area.

"Morning, sweetheart" My father replied.

"So how was dinner last night?" I asked.

"Almost as amazing as your mother's company" He replied with a smile.

"Cool" I mumbled.

"Where's Mum?" I asked looking around.

"Your grandpa is feeling a bit low, so she's visiting him" He replied.

"Oh. Is it something serious" I asked concerned.

"No. Not yet at least" He replied getting off his chair.

"Louise has prepared your breakfast, don't skip it" He added placing a kiss on my head as I just hummed in reply grabbing a toast as dad left for work.

Maybe I should visit grandpa too, it feels like it's been too long since I met him...and not just him though, I haven't met my cousins, uncle Vihaan and aunt Olivia, in a long time too.

Maybe I'll visit them over this weekend because on weekdays I obviously don't have much time because of school and this play that I need to practice for...and make sure that everybody else practices too.

I don't understand why do they always have to leave me in charge of everything?

I mean yeah I get it that I'm brilliant at pretty much everything but that doesn't mean that you have to burden me with everything.

Aren't you a bit too self obsessed? My subconscious made a sarcastic comment while letting out a fake cough.

"Hey. How was practice yesterday?" Bethany asked as we walked down the corridor towards our class.
