Aether just got off of work, he was packing up his things and was about to leave when Xiao grabbed his hand. 

"Hm?"

"Wait for me."

"Nah, I'll race you back!" running towards the door.

"I haven't even finished packing-"

Aether was running until he heard a scream coming from the alleyway to his left. What was that? I should go check it out. He thought, running towards the alleyway ahead of him. He was exploring the alleyway, it had many twists and turns. 

Finally, he found something in there. He was running but he suddenly paused. He saw a man and a girl in dark clothes. What he saw made his jaw drop as it was a blonde girl with an exotic flower on her head and a ginger-headed man being held at gunpoint.

"Oh, look. Someone heard your scream. Guess I'll have to deal with him fir-" She paused while staring at Aether. "L-lumine?" Aether said stuttering.

"What are you doing here..." Lumine said 

"Hey girlie, you gon finish him off?" 

"Shut up." pointing the gun back at the ginger-headed man

"Woah Woah easy there." putting his hands up

"Lumine put the gun down...we can talk this through," Aether said in a calm tone

"NO! WE CAN'T. He's my first target, if I don't kill him someone else will. Eventually, they will get mad and torture me..." Lumine realized what she had just said. 

"Lumine...Who are 'they'?"

She didn't reply to what Aether asked but looked down to the ground. Feeling guilty. "Why did you even run away from the house on our birthday?" Aether asked looking at Lumine, worried. "Nothing that you can care about." 

"But I do care..." 

"This is taking too much time, I suppose I'll just finish this guy off." pulling the trigger on the gun without hesitation this time.

"NO DON'T"

A loud bang came out of the gun, which had caught some people who had passed by the alleyway's attention, and they started to panic. But Lumine thought she had shot the ginger-headed man. Instead, she was stunned, looking at Aether in disbelief. 

Blood coming out of Aether's abdomen, she shot Aether instead. Taking this chance, the mysterious ginger-headed man ran away. Lumine wanted to chase him, but looking at his brother on the floor made her change her mind. Lumine picked Aether up, holding him in her hands, Aether was panting, not dead yet. The bullet was covered with poison, it was for her enemies to die slowly. A slow but painful death.
