The Count Down

The next night i am getting ready for my date with Mikelo. I put on the purple wig that Candy had given me. I still don't think it's a good idea to tell him who I really am. I'll be happy with just being a vampire for now. I put on a sleeveless black dress and the black boots to hide my twisted ankle. I also rub ice packs on my body and put them in a cooler in my purse so I can  stay cold, which is an odd thing to say. I put on thick black eyeliner and mascara with shiny black eye shadow called galaxy. I smile at my self in the mirror and walk down the stairs. 

"Where are you going?" Aunt Tori asked me.

"Umm, out?" i replied.

"Now, you know that that's not a good enough answer, Mae." She said sternly and crossed her arms.

I sigh and tell her the truth." I'm going on a date."

She smiles. "That's all you had to say. Have fun sweetheart." she says and kisses me on the cheek. 

I smile at her and run out the door before she can change her mind. I start off down the street in the direction of the park. It was weird walking down the street without Willy as my guide but I looked on line and I pretty sure I know my way. 

i round the corner and sure enough there's  the park. I walk in the entrance and start to walk up the hill. I pass the swings, the slide and tubes, the teeter totter, and the little horsie things that rock back and forth. I don't see Mikelo anywhere. I'm so excited to see him, I like him so much, so I hope I find him soon.

I sit my purse on the mulch and get out my ice packs. I rub them on my body and quickly put them away. I run to the top of the hill and look down. I see a picnic blanket and candles letting off a blue florescent glow. I smile to myself and walk;k down the hill. I try to look sexy and I hope it's working. I reach the blanket and see Mikelo's face through the blue candle glow. "Hey." I say with a small wave.

"Hello there." he say in return and motions for me to sit down. I sit down across from him and he moves closer to me. I snuggle into him and he touches my arm. "Wow your cold!" he says jokingly and we both bust out laughing. "Of course were cold, were vampires!" he says ans starts to laugh some more. This makes me uncomfortable, I havn't known him for that long but I hate lying to him. I think I love him. "Right." I say quietly, not in the laughing mood anymore.

He finishes laughing and kisses my head. I smile up at him and he opens the picnik basket. He pulls out a bag of blood and poured some into a cup. "The blood bank is a vampires grocery store>" he say proudly and smiles. I return the smile and we clank our glasses together. He gulps all of his down and i pour mine into the grass when he isn't looking.

He smiles at me and I smile at him. And then, he kisses me.

This night couldn't get any better.
