I watched as the guys battled it out on the field. I was becoming slightly bored because this "action" wasn't very full of action. Coach started yelling at Greenberg to run laps and I was laughing. Coach hated him for no reason. I sat up straighter, realizing it was Scott's turn to go up. I flinched as Jackson knocked him over. Coach ran over to Scott, who was lying on the ground.

"You sure you still want to be firstline Mccall?" I heard Jackson say. Wow he's such an ass.

"Mccall! Hey Mccall. My grandmother can move faster than that.. and she's dead. Do you think you can move faster than the lifeless corpse of my dead grandmother?" Coach questioned Scott. I could hear his heartbeat racing, beating faster by the second.

"Yes coach."

"I can't hear you."

"Yes coach!"

"Mccall's gonna do it again!"

Coach blew the whistle and Scott rammed into Jackson. He fell to the ground holding his shoulder. Everybody surrounded him as Stiles hunched over Scott who seemed to be shifting.

"I can't control it Stiles, it's happening."

"What right here? Now?" I got up and ran to the boys.

"C'mon, get up Scott" I said as Stiles and I dragged him off the field to the locker room.

Once we got there Stiles started rambling, "Scott, you okay? Scott?"

"Get away from me!" Scott screamed and Stiles stumbled to the ground. He was growling at us while jumping on top of the lockers.

"Stiles! The fire extinguisher!" I pointed to the red object behind Stiles. He turned around and fumbled with the pin before spraying Scott, I hid behind the lockers so I didn't get any of that gunk on me. I peeked around the corner and saw Scott breathing heavily on the ground.

"Stiles, Sammy." I walked cautiously to him as Stiles appeared from the doorway.

"What happened?" Stiles and I looked at each other before looking at Scott.

"You tried to kill us." I said while Stiles dropped the fire extinguisher. Stiles crouched down next to Scott.

"It's like I told you before, it's the anger, it's your pulse rising. It's a trigger."

"But that's lacrosse" Scott said

"It's a pretty violent game, if you haven't noticed." I added.

"Well it's gonna be even more violent if you end up killing someone on the field." Stiles said

"You can't play on Saturday Scott. You're gonna have to get out of the game." I said and Stiles nodded.

"I'm first line." Scott said sadly.

I sighed as Stiles said, "Not anymore"

I drove Scott home and I followed him upstairs. He crashed onto the bed as I went to sit in his desk chair. Melissa knocked on his door lightly before coming in.

"Late shift again for me. But I am taking Saturday off to see your first game." I smiled after she said this.

"Mom you can't." Scott made me roll my eyes.

"Why not? I can and I will. C'mon, one shift isn't gonna break us, not completely." She looked at Scott weirdly. "Hey what's wrong with your eyes?" Scott shot up, "you look like you haven't slept in days"

"Oh, uh, it's nothing. I'm just stressed."

"Just stress? Nothing else." She shrugged her shoulders. "I mean it's not like you're on drugs or anything right? Neither of you are on drugs right?" She walked over to me and examined me while I laughed.
