"Good morning, Gerald!"

Naabutan siya nitong nagpapa-araw sa garden.

"Hep! Di ba usapan na natin, Baby boy na tawag mo sa akin? How are you, by the way? Did you sleep well kagabi? At saka bakit ka andito sa initan? Dapat nasa loob ka nang bahay. Teka, bakit naiwan ka ditong mag-isa? Where's your nurse?"

"Hey, hey relax! Ang daming tanong, ang aga-aga."

"I'm sorry. I just got..."

"Worried, yeah I know. I'm not totally invalid Gerald. I could stil take care of myself."

"Baby Girl, it's not like that. I never even thought you were invalid. But seeing you alone here, It makes me worried."

"I'm okay, okay? And to answer your question, yes I had a peaceful sleep. It was so peaceful I almost slept straight 'til morning. Kung hindi ako ginising ni mommy for a late dinner, siguro tuluy-tuloy nga pagtulog ko. I didn't notice you waking up. What time did you leave?"

"Almost seven, I think. Naabutan pa ako nang daddy mo sa kuwarto mo."

"What?!"

"Don't worry nag-usap na kami," kinindatan siya nito. "So, did you have your breakfast?"

He looked more handsome in broad daylight. Sasamahan pa nang pagkindat niya. Hmmnn, didn't notice that before.

"Nope. I did some laps with my therapist kanina. I'm just relaxing a bit then breakfast."

"Perfect. Why don't we go somewhere? You think you can hold off your stomach from grumbling a little longer?"

"I'm not hungry pa naman. I ate banana before we did the therapy."

"Okay, then. Magpaalam na lang muna tayo kina mommy."

"They're still asleep. I think it would be okay naman. Saan tayo pupunta?"

"Secret?"

"May pa-secret secret ka pang nalalaman. Give me thirty minutes? I'll just change clothes."

"No need. Your attire will do. O ano tara?"

"Tara, but you have to carry me then."

"No sweat!"

"Ang yabang!"

They were on their way out when Trey came in, balancing in his arms breakfast from a fastfood restaurant.

"Good morning, Sasa! Mr. Anderson, hi."

"Hi Trey!"

"Oops! Sorry, wrong timing yata ako. You're going out?"

"Yes," sagot ni Gerald, seryosong-seryoso ang mukha, "but we can cancel it."

"You're sure?" tanong niya dito. Namumula na naman ang tenga nito.

"Yeah, of course. Sayang naman ang pagkaing dala niya," pilit ang ngiti nito.

"Good, then. Let's eat habang mainit pa ito."
