Biglang lumayo si Asher nang marinig ang boses ni Doc Raphael.
Si Gerald naman, naikuyom ang kamao.
"This damn doctor is really getting into my nerves," bulong nya sa sarili bago tuluyang lumayo sa dalaga.
"What?" she asked.
"Nothing." At tumayo na siya.
Lumapit naman si Doc Raphael at umupo sa kabilang gilid ng kama. Ni hindi siya nito tinitingnan.
"How's my beautiful patient?"
"Except for my amnesia and paralyzed leg, I guess I'm okay" Asher answered, masigla ang tono.
And why the hell is she happy seeing him?!
She's smiling at him?!?

"That's my girl! Don't worry Sasa, you'll get well and you will walk, I'll make sure of that," Doc Raphael said, parang siguradung-sigurado sa sinasabi.
"Sasa?"
"Your name is Sarah Asher Geronimo, right? I would like to call you Sasa, if you don't mind. And you can call me Trey, if you want. That's my nickname. Forget the docotr, that's too formal.
Sasa?! Trey?!
Kailan pa sila naging close?!
"Ang layo naman yata Doc, este, Trey sa name mo?" takang tanong ni Asher.
"My full name is Jose Sixto Raphael Dantes III. Dito sa hospital, Doc Raphael or Doc Raphy tawag nila. Sa bahay, Trey ang tawag sa akin ng pamilya ko."
"I like the sound of Trey. It's kinda cute and unique."
Cute? Acute kamo!
At unique? Ano ito, antique na tray?
"Pfft!"
"You're saying something, Mr. Anderson?" napalingon sa kanya ang dalawa.
"Nothing. Ano na ang findings sa kanya Doc?"
"That's the reason why I'm here nga pala, Sasa. I want to inform you, any minute now, we'll send you for another x-ray. But this time, I'll have with me an orthopaedic specialist who will help to further diagnose the problem."
"At talagang personal ka pang pumunta dito para lang sabihin yan? Puwede namang nurse ang pumunta dito, bakit ikaw pa?"
"Excuse me! Why are you being so rude?" sita sa kanya ni Asher.
At kinampihan pa! Talaga naman!
"It's okay, sweetie. Nagtatanong lang naman ang boyfriend mo."
"Excuse me, Trey, but he's not my boyfriend!"
"So ano yung ginagawa natin kanina, Resuscitation Lesson 101?!"
Naiinis na siya dito. Kanina lang, feel na feel ang pagtugon sa halik niya, ngayon naman nandidiri na para siyang may sakit na AIDS.
"She's right, we're just kissing partners." nang-iinsultong sang-ayon niya.
"Is that true? Meron na palang ganon ngayon?" tudyo ni Doc Raphael kay Asher.
Namula naman ang pisngi ni Asher.
