CHAPTER VII

(Y/N) POV

We crouched in the weeds near the train tracks wait for the perfect time to get in one of the box cart "now" johnny whisperer and we ran and then pulled ourselves up. We waited until the railroad worker checked and passed

As he walked away not seeing us. We sat down  Johnny huddled towards probably for warmth or comfort ponyboy stretched out and laid his head in my lap i ran my fingers through his hair 

Ponyboy soon feel asleep and it was just me and Johnny "are you scared Johnnycake" i asked him "yeah" he admitted "me too" i responded

there was a moment of silence i looked over to him about to ask him another question but he was already asleep, i soon felt my eyes get heavy but i had to stay to make sure we got off the right stop

-SHORT TIME SKIP-

We leaped off the train into a meadow i felt something wet on my back unfortunately we had landed on damp grass

"Gosh ponyboy you done put my kegs to sleep" i said while rubbing my legs

"My bad (Y/N)" ponyboy apologized i nodded my head in acknowledgement

"Where do we find jay mountain guys" i asked

"Ponyboy go ask  someone i bet the paper isn't out yet and make like a farm boy" johnny told ponyboy

"Do i look like a farm boy to you" we looked at him from head to toe and nodded our heads

"We will stay here just ask the first person you see where jay mountain is " i said

We  were studying him "he should brush his hair and stop slouching like a thug" i suggested "yea" johnny agreed, ponyboy pulled out a comb and brushed his hair back

"You look awfully like sodapop except your eyes are green" johnny said

"They ain't green they gray, and i look as much as soda as you", " he's good looking " he exclaimed getting red

I put my arm around Johnny's neck and said "shoot, you are too" i grinned

He climbed over the barbed fence without saying anything i bet he could hear me and johnny laughing

We sat down waiting for ponyboy to come back we just looked out into the field not saying a word, we didn't need to 

We climbed up the road to the old church we all felt sleepy it felt like our legs would give out at any second.It took us 45 minutes to get there

We climbed in through a window in the back it was really spooky in there and there was also a lit of spiderwebs*what if i have to call this place my home for the rest of my life*  i thought

I remembered this one time when i went with ponyboy and Johnny but steve and two-bit tagged along, but they started clowning around and they dropped a hymn book with a loud bang, we got kicked out after

We flopped down on the stone cold floor and fell asleep immediately.
