It's been a couple of days now and Shuichi has continuously been trying to get closer to Kokichi however it doesn't seem to be going too well for him. Shuichi is currently sitting in the library with his regular group of friends having a very serious discussion.

"Look it was fun at first but the little shrimp is honestly way less entertaining than I first thought." Miu says staring at Shuichi

"It just takes time plus his reactions are just so cute!" Shuichi says clearly enjoying this

"Not to interfere but does Kokichi really deserve any of this?" Kiibo says, over the last few days he's taken quite a liking to the little purple hair fellow

"It's not whether he deserves it or not, plus it's not like it'll actually hurt him in any way, he's too scared of any of us to be hurt by it honestly." Kaede says flipping a page of the book she's currently reading

"Yeah Kaede's right he seems so freaked out around us all the time..." Kaito says flipping a pencil between his fingers

"Do whatever you want." Maki says pressing a finger to her temple

Shuichi looks down, tapping his foot on the floor vigorously with a strained angry looking expression.

"Look Shuichi you can continue on if you want but for now we should really head to fifth period. We'll be late if we don't hurry!" Kaede says standing and shouldering her bag. Everyone else at the table follows suit, uncomfortable with the awkward atmosphere.

~Time skip~

Kokichi closes his locker humming a silent tune as he turns to head to his final period of the day. He zips up his book bag and begins walking. After a couple of minutes Kokichi turns a corner and jumps in surprise.

"Jeez Rantaro don't just lurk behind corners like that!" Kokichi says with a sigh, collecting his nerves.

"Hey i've got a question for you." Rantaro says as he looks at Kokichi

"Alright, shoot?" Kokichi says

"Do you think Kaede and Shuichi are dating...?" The colour drains from Kokichi face

"Definitely not-" Kokichi says with a look of exasperation and horror

"Why do you ask?" Kokichi looks up making eye contact with Rantaro for a solid ten seconds before Rantaro turns blushing

"Just curious there are rumours going around after all." Rantaro says turning just as the final bell rings

"Shoot I'm gonna be late for maths!" Kokichi shouts turning and scurrying off

Rantaro chuckles at the way Kokichi leaves in such a hurry before he himself turns to go to his next class.

~Time skip~

Shuichi swings his book back over his shoulder before he turns in a hurry to catch Kokichi before he leaves campus. Rushing down the hall he almost runs directly into Rantaro.

"Wow you're in a hurry." Rantaro says with a hint of what sounds like sarcasm in his voice

"Have you seen Kokichi?" Shuichi asks catching his breath

"Yeah he just left." Rantaro says looking down the hall at the direction Kokichi had just left from

"Alright great!" Shuichi says before sprinting down the hall

After turning the final corner before getting to the front doors, Shuichi can see Kokichi opening the doors while holding a closed umbrella.

"Kokichi!" Shuichi shouts
