"wait so she didn't let you get them?"
"no" i watch as joey sits down slumped over
"what did you ask her?"
"if she can get me the drone"

i look over at the door as anthony and patrick come in to view
"you guys ready?"
"yeah"
"yup let's go"
we get up grabbing our stuff as we walk out with them and down to the liquor store
PATRICKS POV
"are you wearing makeup?"
"yeah are you"
"yeah your face looks pretty weird"

"oh.."
i looked away awkwardly regretting even asking her
this is so weird now broo
we walk in and get some snacks as i look over at parker as she smiles
okay okay shaking it off i guess
i smile back grabbing a pack of gummy worms before heading to the front and setting it down
soon all the guys get here and we pay for the snacks leaving
we start talking about tomorrow as it's the school dance.
"ew no there so stupid"
"i know and this year it's theme guess?"
"uhmm 50's?"

"then what" i rolled my eyes a bit looking at anthony annoyed
"some ocean thing so like blue and stuff"

"so are we all still going as a group?" joey looking around us propping his hands up in front of him
"yeah wh - why'd you say it like that?"
"because you wanted to bring a date"
"come on guys that was in the past!"

i look to parker as she finally spoke from not speaking the whole time this entire conversation
is she tryna say she thinks about that??
i don't even remember who i was bringing anyways,

"joseph. i said no that's my final answer." i laughed as i wait for joey by the door
"but mom all of the kids have one!"
"parker do you have a drone?"
"no mrs. dipaulo"
"see not all the kids sweetie now have fun and be safe - oh and be back back nine o' clock" she kissed his head as he groaned and left with me
"this is an absolute disgrace"
"oh is patrick home?" i looked over at his house as his front door seemed propped open
