Gore and Bloodshed Warning!!

The Grocery Shop (2:20 pm)

The kid must have been exhausted as she hardly stirred. But he didn't have any time to check whether she was dead or not as he sped his was to the supermarket. Praying Levon had some guts to protect himself, at this point he didn't even have any faith. The smell of the ammonia must be wearing of as a bunch of zombies started down to the truck. Some crashed it's skull on the glass.

'Get off my car you dead vertebrates' he roared. But this caused other zombies to rush at him. He sped and crushed all the zombies under the weight of the truck. He was so immersed by the zombies in the front that he didn't notice a few on the back. But then he heard a shriek. 'Eeeee' the girl beside him shrieked while pointing behind them. Jackson noticed the zombies in time and reversed the truck immediately, causing the zombies to fly back.

One of the zombie hit it's head on a metal pole causing its head to hit it with such a force that caused it's bloody eyeballs to blast out. He resumed to speed ahead. At a safe distance he stopped the car. And sighed heavily. He looked at the girl that now stared at him with her huge brown eyes with curiosity. 'What are you staring at?' he whispered. She silently watched him.

Jackson slowly opened the door of the truck and climbed down. He signed her to keep quiet, and so she did, he went to the trunk of the car and pulled out a a container filled with pale yellow liquid, he slowly got up the car and poured it all on the truck. He heard a gagging noice inside the truck, he smirked and climbed down quickly to tell the girl 'Don't you dare vomit in my truck, you hear me?'. The girl did a swallowing motion and nodded. He got back and resumed pouring it over.

Jackson went back to the truck to see the girl covering her mouth with her little hands. Her face getting a little red. 'You can breath y'know. It stinks, yes, but you'll get used to it' he said quickly and in a voice what he considered was kind.

But without waiting for a reply he drove off to the city supermarket.

'Oh fuck' Jackson murmured and pulled out an axe from the backseat. The girl quickly flinched, Jackson caught it but said nothing. He told her to sit there and walked slowly into the store.

Well the place was a chaotic mess. The shelves and contents lie on the floor. Many glasses shattered and water and drinks all over the marble tile. The wall splattered with what looked like blood and pus. Was he too late? Was his only friend dead because he, Jackson, was too irresponsible to manage time? This reminded of him of that painful time. He was just as late to save her. If he had arrived sooner, he could've saved her and his child. But he got stuck in a mess. And his wife and his unborn child paid the price.

He immediately broke out of the trance when he heard a crash down the toy aisle.

He slowly made way to the colourfully decorated sections.  Large teddy bears covered anything that could be potentially lethal. He wondered silently when he saw a particularly nice bear holding a plushie heart with the words 'I Love You', would've his child loved this toy? He slowly went to stroke the fur when he heard shrieking groan. He turned around to see a zombie rushing at him front his side. He raised his axe to strike but something flew past him so fast, it was an axe and it slashed into the frail head of the zombie, it's blood trickling down it head. Jackson quickly turned to see Levon with his hand poised in a way that showed that he was one that threw the axe.

'We have to leave. Now', Levon whispered frantically.

'Its good to see you alive' Jackson said.

'It might've been the first time you said that but please we have to leave! I just saw something that had me hiding in this stuffy shelf for hours', Levon replied looking around in panic.
