Part 18 - What did you do Steve? 💔

You take some steps back, someone tries to touch you, "Don't touch me" you whisper pushing his hand away.

You look up and realize it's Pietro in front of you and dig your face on his chest, he wraps his arms around you. You immediately start sobbing, you feel like gravity is pulling you down. Pietro holds you up, "Mya, please" Steve continues to beg.

Pietro puts his hand out stopping Steve as he is trying to get your attention. You can't even hear him over your tears.

He puts his hand on his head, looks back at the screen to the image of his lips all over Sharon's lips, he closes his eyes.

"What did you do Steve?" Bucky asks removing the wires. He looks at Pietro holding you. "I-I... don't know" Steve trembles. Bucky sighs closing his eyes, it hurts him to see you hurt like that. He shakes his head.

You pull away from Pietro and put your hands on your head. "Please tell me it's not true" you look up at Pietro with your eyes red, full of tears.

He holds you head up with both hands "I'm sorry," he says with tears in his eyes.

You turn and start to walk out. Steve runs to you, both Pietro and Bucky run to stop him but Steve catches your wrist. You turn angry, "WHAT STEVE?" You yell, feeling your blood boil as you glance at the paused screen of him kissing her. You close your eyes making tears fall down your cheeks.

"I-It... I don't know what came over me, I'm sorry!" He whispers, You open your eyes and see a tear fall down Steve's cheek.

You take a deep breath "Did you sleep with her Steve?"

He looks back at Bucky and Pietro and stays quiet, running his hand through his head.

He didn't answer but you knew, "Oh god, Steve..." You mumble, putting your hand on your chest. You feel your heart shatter, you try to breath but feel your chest getting tighter and tighter.

You close your eyes again, "You slept with her and still told me you loved me?" You say softly under your breath "I do love you, Mya" he says trying to take your hand.

You shake your head "Bullshit... If you did, you wouldn't have done it"

"MYA, PLEASE!" Steve drops on his knees and tries to hug you, you step back. "Don't ever touch me again, Steve" you wipe the tears as they keep falling down your cheeks.

You turn and walk out. Pietro and Bucky look at each other, Bucky signals Pietro to follow You. Bucky puts his hand on Steve's shoulder, "I can't lose her, Buck" Steve looks down crying. Bucky is speechless. He wishes he could tell him it'll be okay but he knows you and knows it won't be.

He shakes his head. "Buck, I can't..." He can't even speak. Bucky is torn, seeing him sad but hurts him worst seeing you cry over this.

You run to your room, Pietro follows you.

You walk in and fall on the floor in front of your bed digging your face on your knees.

Pietro sits next to you, putting his arms around you. You fall into his arms "Why Pietro? Why did he do this to me?" You sob.

You ask digging your head on his chest. "Oh Mya, he's an idiot, that's why" he runs his hands on your hair.

You continue to cry for what feels like hours.

You pull back and look at Pietro, he puts his hands on your face and rubs the tears off. "He doesn't deserve your tears!"

You sigh trying to catch your breath.

"Come on" he helps you up, but you have no energy and fall on the bed.

He lays next to you, you rest your head on his shoulder "Doesn't feel real. I saw it with my own eyes and I don't believe it" you say softly. "I wish it wasn't. You don't deserve this" he tears keep falling down your cheeks.

He runs his hand through your hair. Your eyes start feeling heavy from all the crying. You fall asleep.

He slowly stands up and puts a blanket over you. He sighs and slowly opens the door.

Bucky was about to knock, he peeks at you laying down as Pietro opens the door.

He walks out and closes the door, "What a mess!" Bucky shakes his head.

"Where's Steve?" Pietro asks. "He's in his room, why?" Bucky asks.

Pietro looks towards his door and sighs, "Better keep him away from her room," he says angry. "She's a mess because of him" Bucky looks down "So is he."

"Do not defend him... he did this!" Pietro says pointing his finger toward Steve's door. "I-I'm not def..."

Pietro interrupts, "You were there Bucky, you see how hurt she is, I know he is your best friend but she is my best friend and I am not going to hold back" Bucky nods looking at Pietro. "I know, I'm not happy with him trust me" Bucky huffs.

"I'm sorry, she doesn't deserve this, she's really hurting" Pietro sighs.

"I know she is, I just can't believe Steve would ever do something like that" says Bucky crossing his arms.

Pietro shrugs. "I didn't either... So I'll probably be in here with her in case she wakes up."

"Yeah, I'll go check on Steve" Bucky says and Pietro rolls his eyes. "Come on, he's my friend." Pietro opens her door and walks in shaking his head.

Pietro pulls the chair from your vanity and sits next to your bed, watching TV. After a couple of hours you wake up.

You look around, you sit up and look at Pietro. You take a deep breath. "Please tell me I had a nightmare." He sits on your bed putting his hand on your knee. "Pietro tell me I had a nightmare" you look into his eyes. "Tell me Steve didn't..." you stop and close your eyes, feeling short of breath again. "I wish I could" Pietro says.

You cover your eyes, shaking your head. "Come here" Pietro pulls you in for a hug, you start sobbing again. You pull away and wipe your tears away. "I can't believe he came to the hospital, stayed with me said he loved me after..." you say softly, not able to finish the sentence.

"No, stop! Don't think about that" Pietro says. He pulls you into his arms again and wrapping them around you. You take a deep breath "Why do I still love him though?" You say laying your head on his shoulder.

"Oh Mya, I know, I can imagine how you feel!"

You pull away and drop on the bed "How would you know, you've never been in love!" You sit up with wide eyes, you realize what you just said.

"Ouch" Pietro puts his hand on his chest "You know, I'm going to allow that because you're hurting" he chuckles.

You put your head down "I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have said that"

"That's what best friends are for, right, we're each others punching bags" he playfully punches you, putting a smile on your face. "Is that a smile I see?" He says smiling himself.

You look at him as your smile fades "Thank you, I have no idea what I'd do without you!"

You rest your head in his shoulder. "Well let's hope you never have to find out." he says resting his head on yours.
