Chapter One: Amaterasu Reawakening

Third Person POV

It was silently as Gandalf made his way to a beautiful garden. There stood in the middle of an open field was a statued of a wolf curled into a ball. Animal stood close by as they studied Gandalf walking towards the wolf. "It's time to wake up Amaterasu." Gandalf said softly as her gently taps the bottom of his staff to the ground causing the stone on top slowly melt into soft silky white fur.

Amaterasu slowly opens her eyes while a yawn escaped her snout. "You have been asleep for 59 years, my dear." Gandalf inform as Amaterasu looks at him with a tilt of her head. Amaterasu barked causing Gandalf to step back letting Amaterasu turn to her human form.

"Does Legolas and Thranduil know about my slumber?" Amaterasu asked as Gandalf looks at her in awe at her beauty and voice. "Yes, before you went to sleep I had informed King Thranduil of your slumber. Though he and his son were not very happy at the sudden decision." Gandalf said causing Amaterasu to sigh softly.

Amaterasu stretched her limbs as her ears and tail twitch. "Why in Valor did they out me to sleep." Amaterasu ask the Istari as confusion filled her soft voice. "Because they have chosen you, Amaterasu, to be the savior and protector of the last line of During." Gandalf said causing Amaterasu to frown before letting out another sigh. "Very well. You know where to find me Olórin." Amaterasu said before running of and shifting back to her white wolf form not seeing the surprised look on Gandalf face.

With a loud howl Amaterasu runs toward the only pace her heart has long to be. 'I'm on my way home my love.' Amaterasu thought as she runs even faster to Greenwood.

Else Where

"It's been over 59 years since Ammy was force to sleep, Tauriel." Legolas said as he looks out in the training ground. "I'm sure she's alright Prince. If she was to wake, she would have already informed us by now." Tauriel told her dear friend. "What if she doesn't love me anymore?" Legolas asked with a sadden pained look. Then he smiled as all of the elves heard the familiar howl loud a clear. "She's awake." Legolas breath out then quickly got up and run out.

"Where is it your going?" Tauriel asked also getting up and following close behind Legolas. "To inform my father and to leave to to find her!" Legolas shouted just as Tauriel was about to speak Legolas has already opened the throne room. "Ada! Ada! Did you hear?! Amaterasu is awake!" Legolas exclaimed in excitement causing King Thranduil to chuckle.

"Of course I heard. I can recognized that howl from anywhere, but if you are going to search for her be careful my son." Thranduil said as he placed his hand on Legolas shoulder. "I will, Ada. I'll make sure to bring her back safe." Legolas finished and quickly ran off to the front gate.

Time Skip

Amaterasu and Gandalf walks silently into a small town in Bree. "Olórin." Amaterasu greeted softly as she smell someone familiar. "Amaterasu. What is it?" Gandalf greeted then asked while he follows her to an Inn. Amaterasu frown as a flashed image of a new dwarf king that belong to the smell.

"I smell a dwarf inside here." Amaterasu said as she stood in front of a building called 'The Prancing Pony Inn' on a sign. "How mamy?" Gandalf ask looking at the white haired woman. "Just one." Amaterasu mutters as her nose twitches when the two walked inside the Inn.

Gandalf took off his hat just as Amaterasu saw two peoples on opposite side staring at the Dwarf King she helped those years ago. "Mind if we join you?" Amaterasu ask softly shocking Thorin. "I'll have the same and she'll have raw meat." Gandalf told the waitress who nod her head and walks off.

Thorin lets out a breath as the two mean went to to set down back in there spot. "I should introduce myself, my name is Gandalf. Gandalf the Grey." Gandalf said as Thorin frown slightly. "I know who you are." Thorin mutters then glance at Amaterasu. "Well now, this is a fine chance. What brings Thorin Oakenshield to Bree?" Gandalf ask as Amaterasu couldn't help but wonder if her lover is okay.

"I received word that my father has been seen wandering the wilds near dunland." Thorin said lowly not wanting anyone else two hear. "I went looking, found no sign of him." He added with disappointment as he looks at the table. "Thorin, it's been a long time since anything but rumors was heard of Thrain." Gandalf said as Amaterasu frowns. "He still lives. I am sure of it." Thorin said as he looks to Amaterasu.

"He was here." Amaterasu said then stop as the waitress place a plates of food in front of Gandalf and Amaterasu. "My father comes to see you before he went missing. What did you say to him?" Thorin ask moving a bit closer to us. "I urged him to march up on Erebor. To gather the seven armies of dwarves to destroy the dragon and take back the Lonely Mountain. And I would say the same to you. Take back your homeland." Gandalf tries to persuade the dwarf.

Thorin sears back as he looks at the two. "This is no chance meeting is it Gandalf." Thorin stated as Amaterasu started to eat her meal. "No, it is not." Gandalf answer as studies Thorin for a bit. "The Lonely Mountain troubles me Thorin. That dragon has slept there long enough. Sooner or later darker mind will turn towards Erebor. We ran into some unsavory characters whilst traveling along Greenland. They mistook me for a vagabond." Gandalf said causing Amaterasu to chuckle.

"I imagine they regretted that." Thorin smirk slightly. "Once of them was carrying a message." Gandalf said while pulling out a piece of paper we found. "It's black speech. Promise of payment." Gandalf explain knowing Thorin can't read Black Speech. "Of what?" Thorin ask while glancing at Amaterasu and Gandalf. "Your head. Someone wants you dead." Amaterasu finally said shocking Thorin a bit.

"Thorin you couldn't wait no longer. You are the heir to the throne of Durin. Unite the armies of the dwarves. Together you have the might and power to retake Erebor." Gandalf started.

"Summon of the meeting of the seven dwarves families demand they stand by their oath." Gandalf added as Thorin moved closer to us again. "The seven armies swear there oath to the one who wields the kings jewel. The Arkenstone. It is the only thing that will unite them and in case you have forgotten that jewel was stolen by smaug." Thorin said then glance at the two men.

"Ammy, my dear. Can you deal with them." Gandalf said just as Amaterasu finished eating. Amaterasu glares an growl lowly as she gracefully got up and stare at the two man while leaving. "What if I were to help you reclaim it?" Gandalf asked with a small smirk as the two men got up and went to follow Amaterasu. "How? The Arkenstone lies half a world away buried beneath the feet of a fire breathing dragon." Thorin said as he watches the two man follow the woman.

"Yes, which is why we're going to need a burglar." Gandalf said with a smile. "What about the woman?" Thorin ask as the two got up. "The woman is name Amaterasu. She would be a great value of your company for she can walk through fire." Gandalf said proudly as the two paid for the meal and left.

Amaterasu stood in front of the inn covered in blood splatters. "Ready to go Gandalf?" Amaterasu said look at Gandalf. "Meet us at Hobbiton of Bag Ends you'll see my mark on the door." Gandalf inform Thorin as Amaterasu fixed her leather collar on her neck. "You know I could have talk to Smaug." Amaterasu mumbles lowly for Gandalf to hear.

"Even though his under the dark influence of Sauron?" Gandalf ask causing Amaterasu to growls before shifting to her wolf form. Throin's eyes widen when he saw Amaterasu turn into the wolf that have not only saved his life but also helped his people. "Oh, Mahal." Thorin breathed out as he watches the two leave before he could snap out of his trance.
