Summer had officially arrived on Jorvik. I could say that now as the change in the weather had started, along with the temperature, and mostly just atmosphere and feeling. From the freezing temperatures and days filled with big gray clouds which held buckets amounts of rain which seemed endless were now replaced by sunny blue skies and warmer days. The early July sun shone down and casted hot and humid rays from early morning to almost midnight, increasing the heat each day. However, the warmth was pleasurable and much needed when Jorvik was in its long winters.

Not only was the weather changing, but so was the island; festivals, shows, and events that had been held around Jorvik were too many to count, all of them pinned in my mind as I had most likely helped set up every single one. That is what I had been doing since late Spring; helping around the island, teaching, training, and mostly, volunteering at Moorland Stables. Every year, they held the whole summer full of riding camp. Whether it was locals or tourists, the barn would be flooded with people of all ages, all demanding different tasks and going to different places around the barn for the activities they had to accomplish. It wasn't the only place that was busy, practically the whole of Jorvik was a tourist attraction in the warmer months, mainly because of the horses and history.

"There must be more of an update than that," Maya said, bringing me away from my thoughts as I turned to look at her. Her eyes and practically whole expression had that sheepish yet intrigued look to them.

"Honestly that's it," I replied, smiling as we continued down the road passing Doyles Abby. "He's been away for about four months now so I haven't seen him since."

Maya groaned, letting her reins loose as Elli stretched her neck down, enjoying the warm rays of sunlight.

I smirked, giving Blaze a light tap as his walk slowed down slightly, his ears flicking back in a response as I looked around, admiring Fort Pinta in the distance through his ears. The sun casted bright light and made every colour pop along with supplying warmth, the odd breeze blowing just when it started to feel hot and unbearable from the coast.

"If there's nothing new then you must give me details before his departure," Maya said, making me face her again, her gaze gripping onto me. "Details before he left and what was forming between you too," she finished, grinning in a sly manner.

I grimaced. "I've told you everything, that's it. What else do you possibly want to know?"

"Absolutely anything else that you haven't shared yet," she replied, making me roll my eyes.

"I can promise you that's it for now," I said, adjusting myself in the saddle as I got more comfortable. "Ydris will be back soon as he's been away in Pandoria and I'm sure I can continue my details with you then."

"What is he even doing there anyway?" Maya asked, moving closer as another group of riders passed us. "I thought Pandoria was shut away after what you did."

I smiled slightly. "Not really. I don't know how it works but all I know is that it's still active much to Avalons hatred."

Maya grinned, her eyes leaving mine and flickering around at anything she could spot, my mind taking this as a minute to ask her a question I had been wanting to ask her from the start of our trail ride.

"Out of interest, why are you so interested in me and Ydris? We never talk about your relationship or anything." I asked, watching as she turned back to me. "Not that I mean that in a ru-"
