Twenty-Seven (27) - The Mission to Retrieve Eren

She suddenly felt her heart beat faster and even heard it beating loud.

"Mikasa!!"

Y/n and Payne were interrupted when they heard Armin's voice.

Y/n removed her pinky on Payne's pinky and looked at Armin who's no running towards Mikasa who just woke up. The h/c girl didn't say anything and just left to go to Mikasa.

"Heh...what a snob." Payne said.

He shook his head and followed Y/n.

"Wait, you should not move yet..."

Mikasa looked at Armin, Mikasa and Payne who're now running towards her. Armin was surprised when Mikasa suddenly grabbed his shirt.

"Armin! Eren! Where is he?!" Mikasa asked.

Y/n clicked her tongue. "Calm down, Mikasa. We don't know how serious your injuries are." Y/n calmly said.

"Talk about calm..." Payne muttered. He giggled when Y/n glared at him.

Mikasa pushed Armin away and rushed towards the edge of the wall.

"Agh..."

Payne immediately catched the smart blond-boy. "Damn. Why do girls really like to push boys away?" Payne asked.

Armin regained his composture. "Thank you." He politely said.

"No problem." Payne said.

Mikasa looked down, only to see a shallow and large hole on the ground and two small titans near the wall hungrily looking up at them.

Mikasa then panickingly looked at the h/c girl who's standing beside her. "Where is he?!" Mikasa asked.

Y/n stared at Mikasa with a stoic expression. "Eren was taken away... Ymir, too. By Bertolt and Reiner..." Mikasa's eyes widened and horror immediately filled the raven-haired lady. "The moment the colossal titan hit the ground, it's body evaporated. Since you and the others were down there, the heat and wind pressure did enough damage to incapacitate you guys. The force was so strong, it kept our comrades on the wall stuck there for a while. But I did manage to see something...while that was going on,
I saw the armored titan defeat Eren. The armored titan was the only one able to withstand the force. It bit into his neck tore it off with Eren inside. Then the hot wind started to calm. When out of the colossal titan's remains...came Bertolt, with Ymir in his arms. He was wearing the vertical maneuvering equipment that belonged to the other soldier he ate. He jumped onto the armored titan's back, carrying Ymir. And they left... with Eren and Ymir. It's already been... five hours since then..."

Mikasa's eyes remained wide-open, she then stared at nowhere.

"Did anyone...go after them?" Mikasa asked.

Y/n sighed and shook her head. "No."

Mikass was even more surprised. "Why not?" Mikasa asked, and she even grabbed her shirt Y/n's shirt.

But Y/n didn't mind, though she felt a little annoyed. She held Mikasa's hands and removed her hold on her shirt. Y/n held Mikasa's shoulder and stared at Mikasa straight in the eye. "They can't get any horses over the wall. We can't get Eren back until lifts arrive so we can move the horses to the other side. You need to be ready when they arrive...so check your injuries. Hanji-san and the other ranking officers are severly injured and all of them can't move. We need every able soldier if we want to create even a small-scale enemy scouting formation. Especially good soldiers. Understand?" Y/n seriously said.

Mikasa stared at Y/n with wide-eyes and mouth in slight-agape for a while. When everything finally processed in her mind, she closed her mouth and stared down. Y/n let go of Mikasa and sighed heavily. The h/c girl just stood up and walked towards Payne.
