"First thing, let's see if you're good for something! Just tie the ropes to both sides of your waist, and hang down from there! Use your full body belts for balance! Those who can't manage that will be used as bait! We'll send you the land fills, we will!!" Shadis said to the 104th cadet trainees.

Today is their first day of training and their first test is involving balance.

The posture control training.

Y/n and Jean high-fived after Y/n successfully completed her posture-control test. It was very easy for her.

She was able to balance herself while dangling mid-air with her belt attached to the rope without having a hard time. "Good job." Jean said.

Y/n smiled. "That was easy. I bet everyone can pa--"

"What are you doing, Eren Yeager?! Right yourself!!" Y/n and Jean looked at Eren who's hanging upside down.

"Damn..." Jean said in a low voice.

Jean pursued his lips to stop himself from laughing. The others are already laughing at Eren, there are some who remained serious like Y/n and some who are shocked by Eren's first ever failure in their first test. Murmurs and whisperings were heard all over the field. Y/n felt bad for Eren. Even Eren himself, looked so shock that he failed. He was just saying he'll kill all the titans but here he is...Y/n thought.

"Man. If I were him I'd just drop out and go home out of embarrassment." Jean said as he let out a small laugh.

Y/n nudge his arm. "Stop laughing. This is just the first try. He still has a second chance." Y/n said.

Jean frowned at Y/n. "Do you like him?" Jean asked. Y/n's eyes widened. She looked at Jean with disbelief.

"What...?" Y/n asked.

Jean smirked. He glanced at Eren who's now standing at the ground and being insulted by Keith Shadis.

"Last night you two seems to have been acquainted. You smile at him like how you smile at me." Jean said.

Y/n's brows furowed. "I don't get what you mean...how do I smile at you?"

Jean smirked even more. He flicked
Y/n's forehead then grabbed both of her shoulder and made her look at Eren. "You smile so sweetly at me. Nope...You smile sweetly to everyone you like and last night I saw you smile so sweetly at Eren when he smiled at you. You even waved at him." Jean leaned closer to Y/n's ear. "So...you like that suicidal maniac?" He asked.

Y/n stared at Eren. She smiled at the green-eyed boy when they met gazes. Eren flashed her a small sad smile, and then walked out with his two friends, Mikasa and Armin, probably Eren still feels embarrassed. "I don't like him..." I like you. "Don't give such meaning to my gestures." Y/n said.

Jean smirked and tapped Y/n's shoulder. "You're so good at lying." Jean said and then walked out.

The other trainees also left since their training for the day is already done. Y/n followed Jean with her vision.

She let out a heavy sigh when she saw Jean glancing at Mikasa who's talking to Eren. "I can't believe him. He's actually in love with someone who's already in love with someone else."

Y/n shook her head.

Loving someone in secret is such a pain the ass... Y/n thought.

Dinner time came again. Everyone is already present at the mess hall. Y/n glanced at Eren and his two friends.
