That stupid girl. Shiny pink ribbon bouncing. Long blonde hair swinging, dull blue eyes blazing with anger at what I had done. Not going to lie, I might have smiled a little bit at that.

She storms toward me, fists clenched tighter with every step, finally stopping three feet in front of me. Ponytail gathers herself and lets out a breath. Her shoulders and hands drop, tension
released for a precious moment.

"I hate you." Her tearstained eyes meet mine, and for a second I think of those same eyes a month ago, how happy they had been. And who was I to ruin it? Too late now, I guess.

I feel my expression drop, so I take a deep breath and put a smug smile on my face, building up the walls in my mind, protecting the emotions inside. I set my phone down carefully on the table beside me."Hey, Ponytail."

She is like steel, unmoving. Then, as quick as a tiny pink hummingbird, her hand whipped across my face. A tiny little blonde strand of her perfect ponytail came loose, floating around her face, dancing in front of her eye. I recoil, wait a second (for suspense), then launch myself at her, hatred fueling my every move. I grabbed whatever was nearest to me and threw it as hard as I could at her pretty little complexion. The lunch tray ricochets off of the wall behind her, landing in a dark corner with a resounding bang. The paperclip I was holding dropped to the
floor with a klink; I pick it up. It probably wasn't the best to come here after school, but at least no one was here to see, especially the principal. As soon as I finished that thought--

"What are you DOING?!"
