I seemed confident. Confident to warn the others outside. The complete truth is, I'm not confident at all. This is stressful for me, especially since I had to experience a friend suffer because of it. Just thinking about this situation gives me chills. My heart aches as these chills continue. "There is no time for this," I tell myself. I look at the door. I haven't left this house ever since I accidentally sent everyone here. I go over near the door, slipping on my boots. I heard sloshing coming from the basement. I cover my face with my hands, just remembering that my shirt was completely torn. There was no time to turn back now. I look at the coat rack. Ivy's jacket hangs there, I didn't seem to notice it while grabbing the bag that is now over my shoulder. I quickly snatched it, as I ran back over to the door.
I rushed outside. I was already panting from trying to get this jacket into this bag. Completely blinded by the sunlight to yell out. All that came out was small words. " I...working...liquid ... glitch... Ivy...corrupted!" Was all that came out. I was panting and rushing, which didn't make this situation even better. I really did feel like breaking back into tears. Everyone was staring at me for a bit. All of them looked concerned in some kind of way, I think?
"Are you ok?! Are you having an asthma attack?! Do you need to go to the hospital?!" One said to me rather panicked. They were one the first ones to really come up to me. They continuously asked questions in a hurry. They seemed rather eager to help me, rather like it was their life purpose. He wore a tank top with his hair pulled back into a small ponytail, from what I could see from the flashes of sunlight. Another one of the four came up to me, not as quick as the first one though. "Hey there, try to calm down, ok? Everything is going to be fine. Can you take a few deep breaths for me?" She spoke calmly, rubbing my back. She had this kind of doctor-like therapist vibe. She wore this floral medical mask with her hair pulled back with a bow. I tried to do as she said but it was hard with all the panting. Two more stood from a distance, it was clear they were staring at me. "Are you... alright?" I heard from a small distance. The sunlight still flashed at my eyes, but not as much as before. I could faintly see what the person who asked that was wearing. He wore a dark blue mask with long clothing. He looked rather familiar. I think Ivy brought him over a couple of times. I don't remember his name though. The last thing I heard from the last of these four individuals was, "What's up with you?" A taller female asked me this. I could faintly see that she was wearing a short flowy dress with blue colored earrings. I guess she was referring to my ripped clothes. Finally catching my breath, and my vision clearing, I stand up to try to explain things properly.
"It's rather difficult to explain what has happened in these past few hours. To put it simply, I was working when this strange liquid substance entered mine and Ivy's house basement. It was all glitchy so I was hesitant to investigate. It made a lot of noises that alerted Ivy to check on me. She thought it was oil so she tried to clean it. When she did, it grabbed her and corrupted her," I explained, slightly losing my breath in the middle of it. They all stared at me for a small moment. It was a severely awkward moment
"Are you sure you're alright?" The one in the tank-top asked. "Did you hit your head?" The female with the mask seemed to finish the athletic looking male's sentence. "What the actual fuck..?" The male in the blue mask questions my explanation. The female with the dress just chuckled lightly, like I was joking. "Guys! I'm being totally serious!! You have to believe me!" I say, severely concerned for their own safety. "That thing attacked me using Ivy!!" I shouted out. "I believe you..," a high pitched voice said. This voice belonged to a friend of mine. Her name is Star. She wears a bright colored crop-top and skirt. She is normally very bubbly and energetic, but during this moment she seems upset and more serious than normal. I looked closer and realized she was covering her shoulder with one hand. "Did something happen to you too?!" I asked, a bit shocked. She nods as she adverts her eyes. Everyone's impressions changed, everyone except the female in the dress that is. "Very convincing everyone," she laughed. "This is no laughing matter Stylus! This is serious!" The male and the tank-top tried to alert his friend. "Common Fork, you're really in on this?" the female, whose name is supposedly Stylus, laughed. I couldn't help but be concerned for Stylus. The fact that she thinks that this is a joking matter. Two people have been attacked and she finds it funny. It hurts just thinking like this. That's when I heard a sloshing static noise behind me. Panicked, I looked behind me. It was there!! It was after us all!
"Guys, we need to go!!" I shout out at the rest of the group. Everyone turned to see what I was looking at. Everyone showed a different reaction. The guy in the blue mask screamed at the sight of it. For me there really isn't an explanation why. Two people took actions into their hands. The female in the bow simply tried to evacuate people while Fork ran in front of everyone. Stylus laughed, seeming to be amazed. "Nice special effects guys," She snickered. That's when reality struck her. There is no such thing as special effects in real life. I could just tell how much panic was in her as she started freaking out. "Run!!" Fork shouted before the tsunami-like substance devoured him. I could see the shock on Stylus' face. "Fork..?" She yelled into the glitchy substance. "Fork, common, this...THIS ISN'T FUNNY!" She started charging towards the substance. I was going to chase after her but that was until the female in the bow grabbed her by the wrist. I could tell that Stylus was trying to get out of her grasp. "Stylus, It isn't safe here we have to g–" The female in the bot tried to tell Stylus but. "NO!! I CAN'T JUST LEAVE HIM!! HE'S MY BEST FRIEND FOR GOD'S SAKE!! NOW LET HE GO!!" Stylus struggled more to get out of the other female's grip. Failing due to the other female not seeming to give up. "Come on, we need to go," The female said, hurrying off while Dragging Stylus with her. Me and the others follow, as Star is now carrying a bunch of sleeping people.
