-"Alright girlies that's everything for today!" I tell the kids.

They say their goodbyes and walk out from the dancehall.

There's one kid left tho.

Alexa.

-"Hi Lex, aren't you gonna head home?" I ask her as I begin cleaning the studio.

-"I will go home soon. My mom isn't here yet." She speaks.

I smile at her and say that she can stay here with me until her mom comes here.

I've worked as a dance teacher for almost a year. It went from that I had one lesson per week+my own lessons, now I have 3 different groups that have 4 classes a week+ 2 classes with my own group that I've been in since I was 6.

The time flies and Alexa's mom still isn't here.

-"What's your favorite color?" She asks me.

-"Pink, what's yours?" I put away the paperwork on the desk.

-"I like pink too, but my favorite is orange." She starts walking around.

I've texted Alexa's mom but she doesn't answer.

-"Come on Lex, I'll drive you home." I say.

She looks at me confused, but begins putting on her jacket.

I play some music in the car while I drive Alexa home.

She tells me where she lives and when we arrive I follow her to the door.

Maya opens the door. Maya is Alexa's older sister. She also dances at the same dance school as Alexa. I don't know Maya tho, she's 12 years old and I don't have groups around that age.

-"Mom forgot me!" Alexa storms inside.

-"What happened?" Maya watches Alexa when she runs upstairs.

-"I think your mom was supposed to pick her up but nobody came, we ended class 30 minutes ago so I decided to drive her here. I hope that's okay." I explain.

-"Oh. That's what I forgot. Mom's at work and she told me to go get Alexa after the dance. I'm so sorry." Maya's face turns slightly red of the embarrassment.

-"It's fine. She hanged out with me the whole time and there was no worries driving her home at all. Now I'm kinda in a rush so I gotta go. Bye Maya." I wave at Maya as I walk to the car that's parked in the parking lot.

She waves back before closing the door.

I check the time.

50 minutes past five.

My phone vibrates in my pocket.

I pick it up.

It's Skylar.

-"Hello?" I answer.

-"Where are you? Mom said your class ended like 30 minutes ago." She tells me.

-"I'm on my way home. I had to drive one of the girls home first and yeah, long story, but I'm almost home." I place the phone on the passenger seat so I can focus on the driving.

-"Okay. Bye." Skylar ends the call.

Skyler is my 14 year old sister.

I have two sisters actually.

Skylar, and Elena.

Elena is 11 years old.

When I arrive at home I decide to eat some dinner.

Everyone else has already ate, except for Skylar.

She sits next to me and places her iPad in front of us at the table.

-"What are we watching?" I ask her.

-"Euphoria." She answers.

-"You can't watch that. You're too young." I say.

She laughs at me before playing the last episode of season 2.

-"Go get your AirPods." I point to the counter where her AirPods are laying.

-"Why should I?" She asks with a bitchy attitude.

-"Because I don't want to watch euphoria with my 14 year old sister." I speak as it was obvious.

She rolls her eyes before putting her AirPods in.

When I finish my food I go to take a shower.

I listen to some music on my speaker while showering.

Mom knocked on the door a few times before because she thought the music was too loud.

Hate when that happens. I mean, it's not too loud for me?

I put my pajama on after my shower.

I blow dry my hair and then mom makes two braids.

It's kinda embarrassing but I still can't braid my own hair. Oops.

I can braid other people's hair, just not my own.

-"How was dance?" Mom hands me a glass of water.

-"It was good. A bit stressful because it's just almost 2 months left until the show and yeah. It's just a bit crazy there lately." I shrug.

My mom nods.

-"Me and dad are going to a concert in the weekend, don't forget that you have to be home then, Skylar is going on a sleepover and Elena can't be by herself." She kisses my forehead before walking to the couch.

I go upstairs to my room and snuggle up in bed.

I read some pages from the book I just bought before turning the lights off and deciding to sleep.
