You were sitting on the ground in front of the Armed Detective Agency's headquarters. It was late at night, around 3 a.m. All of your belongings were strewn about, and you were far too fatigued to gather them all up. You sat there, your hands covering your eyes as you felt the moisture of your uncontrollable tears that wouldn't stop streaming from your eyes.

You'd heard footsteps in your left ear, which had echoed. You could almost feel the aura of the person standing to your left, next to you.

Then this enigmatic figure crouched and offered a hand. You could hear their clothes shuffle slightly.

???

"... How do you feel about joining the Port Mafia..."

When you opened your eyes, you could see portions of the sidewalk through your fingers. Your hands slowly descended from your face, and you turned to face the person on your left.

There was considerable silence between the two of you. When you peered behind him, you could see a young blonde girl fiddling with this man's coat. Your gaze then returned to the man, who was still kneeling and lending a hand.

???

"... Y/N L/N."

As he gazed through your narrowed pupils, you looked into the serene man's eyes.

A few hours earlier, at noon. (Plain, bolded text indicates flashbacks, as said in the Intro)

Y/N L/N. For a long time, you've been a valuable member of the Armed Detective Agency. You and Dazai both did an excellent job, always accomplishing your missions successfully. You were always there to find Dazai whenever he went to do anything hazardous.

You had an uncontrollable special ability, and Dazai was the only one who could ever stop things from getting out of hand. You two were a match made in heaven.

When you originally joined the Armed Detective Agency, they rapidly became aware of your hazardous and uncontrollable ability.

Your ability gave you a tremendous deal of strength, but after a few minutes of exerting it, you'd lose control and start demolishing your surroundings, oblivious to the idea that you'd be harming others who were close to you.

The president gave Dazai the responsibility of teaching you how to control it. He did, however, have a special skill that was appropriate for your training.

This was the sole reason the two of you had become close and collaborated successfully.

Tanizaki

"Ah, Y/N! I've been looking all over for you."

You

"Really?... What's the occasion?"

You'd just walked through the door to find everyone working as usual, and you were examining their fast-typing hands. You leaned on the desk that Tanizaki worked at.

Tanizaki

"Here. It's a simple job, really, but they won't get off our backs about it. Sheesh, the police are chickens when it comes to these kinds of things."

You

"Oh, a bomber?... Are you sure this job is fit for me?"

Since you were a bomber yourself, you posed this question.
