There it was.
Chan shook his head, laughing lightly - something he did whenever he was getting to that point of overload. "Alright Changbin, don't go to fucking far and get your ass kic-"
Changbin's head tilted, provoking the older further. "What? You wouldn't hit me." He looked down on Chan, "even if you did, you'd know all of this anger is coming from a place of truth."
He didn't speak for the fact that if he did, then he'd probably say something reckless. Chan kept his mouth close in hopes of getting his anger in check.
"You're so fucking scared to be in a relationship that you whore yourself out to all these-"
"Shut up, Changbin!" Chan abruptly stood, now eye level with the other. He was seething, eyes narrowed as Changbin continued talking.
"Am I wrong? Is that not what Minho is to you right now?"
He knew that wasn't the case but he needed to see some kind of reaction to confirm his suspicion. Chan's changed somewhat ever since Minho came around, if the topic of "love" was present then Changbin needed some kind of push.
"Just someone to fuck when you're bored?"
"No he's not- he's not like that!"
Changbin looked to the side, huffing out of pure irritation. "What're you getting so mad for? I'm just asking a question."
He knew his limits and he definitely crossed that line, or getting to it. Changbin was just spewing all of these personal things that Chan confided in him when he was at his lowest. It was wrong of him but he couldn't stop now.
This was all pent up feelings he never could have said out loud just for the fact that Chan's feelings would 100% be hurt.
Chan's body language screamed how angered he was at the moment. He was holding his tongue, desperately trying to keep himself from saying anything he might regret later.
It didn't last long though.
"Does Minho really mean shit to you or are you just using him to get over that dumbass you used to date? Or should I say fuc-"
Chan planted his hands roughly on Changbin's chest, pushing him back without much remorse. "Fuck you Changbin!" He wasn't in the right mind and maybe that's why he didn't feel so bad when the younger crumbled to the floor.
"What do you know about what I've been through?!"
Changbin's head bumped against the floor, not too hard but enough for him to hiss in pain. He maybe laid on the floor in shock for a few seconds before sitting up, leaning his back against the wall- curled in on himself a little.
Though he may have a (somewhat) tough exterior, Changbin was incredibly sensitive. It was obvious that Chan was capable of overpowering him but for him to actually do it was pretty eye opening.
When Changbin looked at the other he felt intimidated because of the fact that Chan was just standing over him - not saying a thing.
"...I- how could you say that, Chan?"
Changbin lifted his head, making eye contact with a still fuming Chan. He was breathing heavily, eyes narrowed.
"I've been there since day one."
Changbin's voice quieted, a softer tone than his once aggressive one. He bit his lip, feeling his eyes start to water, trying everything in his power not to cry. "Everything, I literally know everything." He looked down at his hands, sighing before turning to Chan again.
"I just..." Changbin got up from the floor slowly, holding the back of his head. "I know more than anyone how these things turn out for you."
Chan had calmed at this point, his high having died down. Now he was able to fully comprehend what he had done, the harm he inflicted on a person he promised he wouldn't.
He wanted to drop to the floor and wrap his friend in a hug but he wasn't sure if he could do that as of right now. Changbin probably wanted his space.
"Minho, he can be something good for you and you're just not giving him a chance." He shook his head, small sniffles coming from him. "That's all I have to say, Chan." Changbin kept his head down as he took small steps toward the door.
"Just um..." He paused with his hand on the doorknob. Changbin's arm lifted, Chan guessed he was wiping at his eyes with the sleeve of his sweater.
He couldn't really tell considering his back was faced towards him but Chan was sure he was crying and it pulled at his heart. Chan reached out to rest a hand on his shoulder but the younger was quick to shake it off, still not facing him.
"...Give him a chance. You can't go through your life like this without someone by your side." Changbin sighed heavily once again, opening the door and leaving, shutting it quietly behind him.
Chan stood in his spot, just eyeing where Changbin once was.
His thoughts were running uncontrollably. No matter what he did he couldn't stop everything from relaying in his mind. Different things he could've said to try and calm the situation down but it was useless now.
Chan fell onto his bed in exhaustion, grasping his pillow close to his chest. Chan didn't have the energy to do much else but sleep but even that was hard to .
He laid awake for hours before he could finally close his eyes. Chan had a huge turmoil about whether or not he should go to Changbin's room on check. He didn't want to push what seemed like the beginning of a strained relationship.
Despite the little disagreement he had with Changbin, the male was right no matter how much he didn't want to admit it.
He owed both Changbin and Minho an extremely good apology.
Hopefully no one else joins the list as well...
