-I'll go talk him. - Carlisle says before exiting the living room and walking down the stairs to go to the front door
When he opens the door, Jacob enters without asking for permission.
-Hi, Jacob. How are you? - The vampire asks sarcastiically
-Is it true? Is Juliette sick? - Jacob asks looking at the Cullen father
-Jacob? - The mentioned one looks back at the stairs after hearing Juliette's voice.
-They're here? - He asks
-The came back two weeks ago. - Carlisle explains
Jacob doesn't wait and starts walking towards the stairs quickly, ignoring Carlisle who follows him. When he's in the living room, he realises that's everyone is surrounding the couch where a blonde haired girl is sitting that he recognizes immediately. Jacob starts walking towards her but stops in front of Rosalie who glares at him.
-I thought you wouldn't come. - Juliette whispers looking at him for a moment before looking down
-Stop right there. - Rosalie warns taking a step towards Jacob
-What's your problem? - He asks angrily
-Rose, it's okay. - Juliette says preventing the fight
Rosalie doubts for a moment before stepping aside, letting him see Juliette. When he's in front of the blonde girl, he realises how sick she looks. Her hair isn't as bright as before, her cheekbones are more noticable along with the eye bags that she didn't have before. She looks skinnier amd weaker. Jacob widens his eyes surprised.
-You look... bad. - Juliette smiles while looking down.
-Yeah, well, you don't look so good either. - The blonde girl says mockingly
Apparently, it's the only thing that hasn't changed; her personality.
-Aren't you gonna tell me what's heppening to you? - He asks, having in his head the conversation he had with Jolie and Charlie
-Rose, can you help me up? - The blonde girl asks extending her hands
Rosalie helps her stand up carefully while Edward watches over her. When Juliette's standing up, her huge belly becomes noticable, the blouse she's wearing lifts up a bit, showing the many bruises on her body and how skinny her legs are. Juliette pulls down the blouse immediately while giving Jacob half a smile. He looks at the image horrified before walking towards Edward angrily with the intention of hitting him but Emmett stops him by taking his shoulder strongly.
-You did this. - Jacob says glaring at Edward
-We didn't know it was possible. - Carlisle says taking a step towards them
Jacob takes Emmett hand off him angrily and turns around to look at Carlisle.
-What is it? - He asks angrily
-We don't know, the ultrasound doesn't let us see it clearly. - Carlisle explains crossing his arms
Juliette looks down before sitting on the couch again.
-I can't see it either and I can't see Juliette'e future anymore. - Alice says looking at Jacob
-We've investigated legends but there's not much that helps, we just know that it grows really fast and is very strong. - Carlisle explains while looking at Juliette who winces in pain
-Love... - The blonde girl says with difficulty
Edward approaches her quickly to sit beside her and start rubbing her belly, trying to calm the abrupt movements of the baby that hurt Juliette.
-Snow helps Juliette constantly healing a few bruises but gets weak anyway. Apparently, the fetus consumes Juliette's energy and Snow's as well. - Carlisle explains once again
-No! It's not consuming the energy! It's taking her life away bit by bit! Why don't you do something?! Take it out of her! - Jacob orders walking towards Carlisle
Juliette closes her eyes strongly and rests her head on Edward's shoulder.
-This isn't your business, dog! - Rosalie screams angrily
-Rose! - Esme scolds - These fights are hurting Juliette.
-The fetus is the one that hurts Juliette! - Alice screams angrily
-Why don't you say it by the correct term?! Baby, it's just a little baby! - Rosalie screams back
-It's possible. - Jasper says taking a step forward and taking Alice's waist
-You better do something. - Jacob orders Carlisle
Everyone notices how certain strands of Juliette's hair start taking a silver colour. Her eyes change colour constantly, showing that Snow wants to take control.
-It's my life and it's my body! I decide what to do with them so stop giving orders as if you're my father! - Juliette screams Jacob who starts shaking his head, without believing her words - I appreciate you a lot, Jacob.But if you only came here to judge me, it'll be better if you leave.
-Jacob, I want to talk to you. - Edward says standing up from the couch
He leaves a small kiss on his wife's forehead before walking towards the stairs.
Juliette closes her eyes, trying to control herself and calm down her fast-beating heart and trying to make the baby stop moving.
