Jungkook watched as Taehyung entered the room and how most of the people got up from their seats to greet him. Even the director, Min Yoongi. Taehyung's juniors in the industry respectfully bowed while the few senior actors nod their heads in acknowledgement.

Taehyung had such charisma. He had the undivided attention of the room due to his powerful aura, as soon as he entered a one. The way he walked, his head held high with confidence and gaze unyielding to anyone. He would look too intimidating for anyone, if not for the friendly smile on his face. Taehyung is the most fascinating human in their era, and Jungkook is not even being biased when thinking that.

Yoongi got up and pulled Taehyung into a friendly hug. Taehyung had worked on a drama directed by Yoongi once before and you could even say that they are friends.

"Am I late, hyung?" Taehyung asked in an apologetic voice as Yoongi guided him to a chair right at the middle of the table.

"Of course not, you're right on time."

Jungkook was sitting exactly opposite of Taehyung and the elder couldn't help but steal a few glances at him. He regretted picking a white shirt for Jungkook to wear for the day. Taehyung wanted Jungkook to give a good impression on his first table reading day but right now, the plan seems to have backfired as Taehyung found it difficult to concentrate.

Luckily, no one seemed to have noticed Taehyung's subtle staring of his co-star.

"Shall we start?" Yoongi asked in an excited voice, making everyone pay attention to him. "Why don't you guys introduce yourselves first? Sana-ssi?"

"Hello." Sana smiled and gave a little bow politely. "I'm Sana from the idol group Sunshine. This is my first time acting in a drama and I hope I do a good job. Please take care of me."

Jungkook was sitting next to Sana so he introduced himself next.

"Hello, I'm Jeon Jungkook. I'm a former idol and now a soloist. This is my first time in a drama too so I apologize in advance if I turn out to be a bother to you all. Please guide me and help me a lot."

Jungkook's genuine plea as well as the unintentional cuteness when he said that, brought a fond smile on everyone's face.

"Ah yes, both Sana-ssi and Jungkook-ssi are new to the world of acting. But don't you worry, all of us here will help and guide you on this path. I hope our veteran actors will lend them a hand when needed."

Taehyung gave a small smile, only Jungkook was able to notice the subtle smirk in it.

"Of course I will, Yoongi hyung. I'm ready to help in any way I can."

Jungkook couldn't help but blush a bit at that. Taehyung's words might sound innocent to others but Jungkook knew exactly what the elder was hinting at.

"Thank you so much, Taehyung-ssi."

Sana's voice brought the two lovers from the bubble they seemed to be getting into. Taehyung's smile flattered for a fraction of a second, before it was back on his face. He gave a polite nod to Sana, while glancing discreetly at Jungkook with an apology.

Taehyung didn't realise that his offer would be applicable for two people, not just his boyfriend.

The rest of the reading went well. Both Jungkook and Sana had trouble getting into the character but Yoongi was patient.

"Han Sang-ah, are you waiting for me?"

"Uhh.. Yeah, I am.. "

"Oh.. uhmmm.. why?"

"You missed yesterday's class. I brought you the notes."

"That's- uhmmm.. that's very nice of you. Thank you."

"Well done, Taehyung and Sana-ssi. That was very good." Yoongi said with a smile and turned to another page. "Shall we try scene 58? Sana-ssi with Jungkook-ssi."

"Are you going to the spring dance?"

"Oh.. I think so, yeah."

"Would you.. uhh.. like to come with me?"

"I'm so sorry, Min-Hyuk-ah. Han Sang already asked me and I.. uhh.. said yes."

"Oh.. it's okay, don't worry about it."

"I'm really sorry, Min-Hyuk-ah."

"Nuh. It's cool. He's definitely a better dancer."

"That's not-"

"Oh shoot!! I just remembered something. I'll see you later, Aerum-ah."

"Okay.."

"Great! Sana-ssi, your emotions need to be more visible on your face okay. Jungkook-ssi, you did good. Now let's move on to scene number 103."

Jungkook turned to the page and read it quickly. It was a scene between his character and Taehyung's, who are best friends in the drama.

The dialogues flowed more easily this time. Jungkook couldn't help but glance at Taehyung, while reading his lines and he could see Taehyung doing the same.

It brought back memories of how he helped Taehyung practice his lines, at the beginning of his career. They used to meet at cafes and practice in those days. Later, when Taehyung became famous, he had people to help with it. And of course, Jungkook was busy at that time with his idol training too.

Life was much simpler and free when they were young but neither Jungkook nor Taehyung had any regrets. They both loved and valued their careers a lot. It was only second to the love they had for each other.

It was a very successful first day.

Later that night, when Jungkook and Taehyung laid on the bed in each other's arms, Taehyung apologized for his flirting remark.

"It's okay, Tae. I don't think anyone noticed you were trying to flirt."

"I don't care about others." Taehyung replied as he ran his fingers gently through Jungkook's soft hair. "All I care about is what you think."

"And I'm telling you that it's okay." Jungkook playfully pinched Taehyung's waist, making the latter let out a hiss. "Now stop worrying about it."

"Okay."

Jungkook snuggled more in to Taehyung's hold and was silent for few minutes, before speaking up again

"This is like old times right?"

Taehyung chuckled. Yes, he had noticed the familiarity too. "Yeah. It's fun."

"I think I will like working with you very much, Tae."

"I would like it very much too, pretty baby."
