*Emma's POV**Time Lapse*
It's August. It's been almost 9 months. 6 months since school started. School is NOT the same without Regina. But, it's my senior year. Three more months until I graduate and can finally get married to the love of my life. We've been together almost a year. We talk almost everyday. I've been to see her several times. Kat and I are going to see her again for the weekend and we have our fall break, so we're staying until next Saturday. It's Friday. We're leaving after school. We're flying. We're both used to flying now because that's how we get to New York. Much quicker than driving. It's only third period. Two more to go before I'm on a plane to see my fiancé for a whole week. I smiled at the thought. Since I'm in free period, I got out my phone and texted Regina. "Hey baby. Can't wait to see you. Get to spend a WHOLE WEEK with you. Love you. ~Em" I sent. I smiled at the text and waited for a reply. I got one almost 15 minutes later. "Hey baby! I'm excited! I love you too! Have a good rest of your day. Call me when you're at the airport, yeah? -Gina" I smiled. "Of course I'll call you. Hope you're having a good day and it stays good. ~Em" I sent back. Her reply came about 5 minutes later. "Yay! I'll see you very soon. Gotta go. Much love. -Gina." I smiled and just sent back a kissy face emoji. The rest of the day dragged on. Finally, the last bell rang. None of my teachers gave homework since we have break except for my English teacher, so that's good. I walked to my locker and took out stuff I didn't need. I kept my English textbook, notebook and binder in my backpack and put The Iliad and The Odyssey in my bag as well. We're reading those. I don't fully understand my English stuff, so I'm taking it with me to see Gina. Have her help me. I put my bag over my shoulder and released a sigh. "Dang it." I heard the girl beside me mutter. I raised an eyebrow, then closed my locker. There's a new girl. She seems to be struggling with her locker. "Need some help?" I asked. She blushed and nodded. "Here's the combination.." She said through her Australian accent and handed me a wrinkled piece of paper. I put in the combination and the lock wouldn't open. I jiggled the handle and it popped open. I smiled. "Make sure you jiggle it. And, this is my locker-" I said and pointed to the one beside hers. "So you can always ask for help." I finished with a smile. "Thanks." She said and smiled. I nodded. "Uh, I'm Emma." I said and held out my hand. "Belle." She said and shook my hand. I smiled. "Good to meet you." I said. She smiled. "What grade are you?" She asked. "Senior. You?" I asked. She blushed. "Sophomore." She said quietly. I chuckled. "Well, you have a senior friend now. So, you're cool." I said. She blushed and smiled. "So, what are you doing over break?" I asked. She shrugged. "Probably nothing. I'm kind of a nerd." She said. I smiled. "I am too. So it's okay." I said. She laughed lightly. "What about you?" She asked. "I'm going to see my girlfriend in New York." I said. She smiled. "Fun." She said. I nodded. "She's a nerd too. She teaches English." I said. Belle giggled. I smiled. "I've always wanted to go to New York. You'll have to tell me how it is." She said. "Or you could come." I said. She looked up at me. She's a few inches shorter than me. "Really?" She asked. I nodded. "That would be so cool!" She shouted. I laughed. "Come on. Walk with me." I said. She nodded and got stuff she needed out of her locker, then closed it. She walked beside me and we walked to the parking lot. Kat was waiting in her car. I got in the passenger seat and Belle got in the back. "Who's this?" Kat asked. "This is Belle. She might be going to New York with us." I said. Kat nodded and left the parking lot. "You're a cheerleader right?" Belle asked. Kat smiled and nodded. "That's so cool. I've always wanted to be one." She said. "You should try out. We have open tryouts next week." Kat said. Belle shrugged. "I'm not popular enough." She said. Kat frowned. "You don't have to be popular to be a cheerleader." Kat said. Belle shrugged. "I texted my mum and dad and they said I could go." Belle said. Kat and I both smiled. "We'll take you by your house to get clothes and stuff." I said. Kat nodded. "Do you guys not have stuff?" She asked. "We do. It's already in the trunk. We were going to the airport right after school." I said. "Ah." She said. I nodded. Kat followed the directions Belle gave her and we arrived at a small house. "I'll be back." Belle said and got out. She came back almost 30 minutes later with a bag. "Alright. I'm all ready to go." She said and got in. I smiled. "My mum gave me some money as well, so I can pitch in for gas." She said. "Well, we're flying. So it's okay." Kat said and laughed. Belle chuckled. Kat started driving towards the airport. My phone started ringing and I answered. "Hello?" I asked. "Em... I'm so sorry." Mom said. I furrowed my eyebrows. "W-why?" I asked. "Your flight got cancelled because of snow." She said. I closed my eyes. "But I already booked you the earliest one for tomorrow." She continued. "T-thanks mom." I said and hung up. "Our flight got cancelled." I said. "What?" Kat said. I nodded. "Mom booked us one for tomorrow though." I said. "Ugh. I'm sorry Em." Kat said. I shrugged. She turned around and started driving home. This was the one thing I was looking forward to. It's been almost 2 months since I saw Regina. I need her. Dammit. We got home and I sighed. "Belle, you can spend the night here if you want." I said. "Thanks." She said. I nodded. We got inside and set our bags down. Belle, Kat and I went to our room and sat around.
---------------------------------------------
It's almost two am and I can't sleep. I already talked to Gina about this and she said it was okay. But, I want to be holding her. I've officially depressed myself. I got out of bed and left my room. Belle is sleeping in Kat's bed and Kat is on the air mattress in the floor. They're both passed out. I put on Free Runs and grabbed my phone. I left my room and walked down the stairs, quietly. I walked out of the house and into the cold air. I'm wearing pajama shorts and a hoodie. I began walking and tears fell from my eyes as I thought about how much I miss my baby. I dialed Regina's number. After several rings, it went to voicemail. "H-hey Regina. This is Emma. I-I couldn't sleep. So, I started walking. And I ended up at your house. And it's really cold and I miss you. And I'm upset and now it's snowing and I'm only in shorts and a hoodie, but I miss you and I'm really sad tonight and I don't know why. But, I'm scared I'm going to do something stupid... I know you're asleep now, but.. If you wake up.. Call me.. Please. I love you.. B-bye." I stuttered, then hung up. I shivered lightly and walked around. I came to a bridge. I looked over the side and saw a deep creek. I wonder if anyone would even look for me... "Maybe impact will kill me?" I said out loud as I climbed up onto the side.
