𝖂𝖍𝖊𝖓 𝕯𝖊𝖑𝖆𝖓𝖊𝖞 𝕽𝖆𝖛𝖊𝖓 𝖘𝖆𝖞𝖘 𝖘𝖔𝖒𝖊𝖙𝖍𝖎𝖓𝖌, it will happen in one way or another, and she kept her promise, she helped Zoya cross the Fold without a single injury and they both got out of it, and that is why Zoya has been staying at Ketterdam for a while.
Delaney always kept her promises. She stayed with Kaz her whole day ever since they got back from that job. She always seemed to be either sitting at Kaz's couch reading a book she stole from his shelves around the room or sitting at his window watching the crows fly around.
It was boring sometimes, sitting and reading the whole day after completing your job for the day, but they sometimes talked about random stuff mostly about their experiences, it took Delaney a while to finally open up about her insomnia and Kaz always invited her to come and chat with him mostly at night, in the slat or his office (if he had a lot of work) and would listen to her read and lecture about her past.
It was one of the best way to finish his day or night.
Sometimes he would even tell her to read the book out loud as an excuse to listen to her voice (in which she soon falls asleep after reading for 2 hours or so). Kaz will soon look up from his paper once her voice died down and would watch her snore quietly with her lips pouting a little up. He will either stay with her the whole night or wake Jesper or Inej up to take Delaney back home so she can rest peacefully and not on his couch.

He will either stay with her the whole night or wake Jesper or Inej up to take Delaney back home so she can rest peacefully and comfortably and not on his couch.
But today was different, she was nowhere to be found, Kaz was worried that something might have happened to her on her way here, and couldn't help but walk down the stairs onto the filled club, "Jesper! have you seen, Raven?" Kaz Brekker stood behind the sharpshooter while snapping his cane on top of the gambling table, glaring harshly around to check if Delaney was there. "I thought your girlfriend was with you? No, I haven't seen her- Oh there she is!" before Kaz could argue back at Jesper for calling Delaney his girlfriend the familiar black hair he always loved appeared beside him and Delaney had a grin on her soft beautiful lips he always wanted to kiss, everyone in the club seemed to get used to it, her always coming and going straight to Kaz office. Sure, she was there every day but no one dared to spill a thing about Delaney Raven and Kaz Brekker.
Or else they will face the devils themselves.
"Hey Jes!" greeted Delaney while placing a kiss on Jesper's cheek who smiled brightly at her, Zoya, and Inej behind the girl sat around the gambling table after greeting Kaz and Jesper, Delaney grabbed Kaz's sleeve before dragging him to his office without a word coming from her, Kaz, on the other hand, got used to her kissing Jesper's cheek, he was jealous for a while but got used to it. Closing the office door slightly, Delaney turned to Kaz who glared at her, "What?" asked the girl in confusion "where have you been?" snapped Kaz at the girl while leaning against his cane watching as the girl in front of him rolled her eyes, "oh, is Dirtyhands worried?" she teasingly said. Now it was Kaz to be annoyed.
"Anyways, I got a letter from the royal family and they invited us to come, they want to give us a gift for bravery, I don't believe in that shit but I have an amazing plan!" exclaimed Delaney while sitting in front of him a wicked grin on her lips, Kaz sat on his chair nodding at her to go one. "so, there is this man I owe a favor or two, I asked him to create two rings, one for you and one for me, the plan is; to pretend we are engaged so the King and Queen would give us a lot of money, keep in mind that I'm a good liar! So what do you think?" Delaney watched as Kaz's eyes widened in shock, Delaney's smile slowly faded as she tilted her head to figure out the sudden change of mood, "You asked someone to create a ring, for us- Both of us?" Kaz's ears turned red once he caught her nodding and holding a beautiful black ring with silver and gold carved drawings.
Kaz examined the ring with joy in his eyes, before looking back up at Delaney who was anxiously waiting for an answer, "I love it." Kaz finally spoke while taking off his glove, putting the ring on it looked beautiful on him, Delaney couldn't help but stare at his hands, they were beautiful- the slightly pink knuckles and the veins popping made her gulp as she looked away trying so hard to ignore the thoughts popping into her mind. "Thank you, love." Delaney choked, on her own spit at what he just called her, not knowing what to do in this awkward situation she got up from the chair looking everywhere around except at him, or else she'll blush and embarrass herself.
