Cookies and cream (a PAW patrol Evershall fanfic)

Chapter 6: Lost in the woods(Everest's past) Part 2

Flashback...

The log she's riding on floated on the flowing,cold river and took her very far away...it never stopped going along the flow of the river and has taken Everest to new places she hasn't been before... She feels cold and she's shivering from the terrible condition of the season as well as the temperature of the water she's floating in...

Everest: *whimpers* Mom... Dad...

Despite the cold environment and the lost of coordination she's in,all she could think about was her dead parents...

Everest: Why does it have to be them? Why not me? Why should the wolves even go after them? My parents...they love me so much...and now they're not here anymore...I miss you...

As she was very deep in her thoughts,the log finally made its stop on the side of the river...Everest got off the log and realized she was at the foot of a large snowy mountain... that's good,she can now get on top of that mountain and look for a place to stay

Everest: a mountain...I'll have to climb...maybe I can find a new place to stay if I look for it from the top of this thing

Everest started to climb up on the mountain...at first,she finds it hard and she falls down everytime,but by every failure to do so,she becomes more aware and has successfully made it on the summit... The view from the top was so beautiful,she can even see the the place where she used to be.

Everest: wow...I can see the whole world from here... *sighs*

Everest loved this feeling,but due to the heavy emotions she's feeling now,she stepped in,took a deep breath,and yelled at the top of her lungs

Everest: I LOVE YOU,MOM AND DAD!!! *echoes* *crying*

Everest's yell was heard from miles and she started crying again from the grief of losing her parents...she made herself a promise

Everest: don't worry Mom and Dad... I'll survive on my own,and I'll make you proud... You can count on me...

She made her way down in the mountain just before the sun sets. She made it all the way down and it was now dark in the forest, presumably being evening... Everest started having nightmares of the wolves who killed her parents and she started panicking. She can hear the growls of the predators and she can see their red,glowing eyes behind the dark trees

Wolves: run,run,run...

Everest: *gasps*

Wolves: you'll meet your parents very soon...

Everest: W-who are you? What did you do to my parents?!

Wolves: we love meat...we eat meat

Everest: *mad* then eat your own faces,dummies!

Everest made her move and ran away as quickly as her legs can carry her as the wolves started to chase her at full speed. She knew they were catching up to her,but she didn't looked back. Bad news...she got stuck in a dead end and now she's surrounded by the wolves. Everest gathered her strength to take a stick with her mouth and try to poke the wolves with it

Everest: Don't move! I have a stick! And I'm not afraid to-

The wolves got a grip of her stick and threw it away,leaving Everest empty-handed(or paw...)

Wolves: *pounce*

Everest: AAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!

Everest realized that she wasn't being teared to flesh and the wolves disappeared...it all seemed real but nothing happened to her...was it all...a dream?

Everest: *heavy breathing* what is happening to me..?

Everest was stuck to her feelings and she decided to sleep underneath a log. With tears in her eyes,she lost her parents and thought she was also gonna end up with the same fate as they did

Morning...

Everest woke up and decided to look for food...it was hard for her because she can't find any safe foods to eat... She decided to cook her favorite meal with all of the resources she can find in the forest...

Everest: phew...all done...time to eat

Everest had no choice but to eat their special dish without her parents...Everest has been surviving on her own for over 3 years now...everytime she would make a stop to stay temporarily and then move out to find another place to temporarily stay in...she has to keep moving because the places she stays in aren't filled with the resources she needs...she started to lose hope as she ended up in a particular icy place...but hope starts to give her another chance when she saw a man about to fall on the side of an icy cliff (Dialogue may not be same from the original PAW patrol episode,but then...this past isn't canon either so...)

???: Whoa!

Everest: I got you!...

???: Whoa,thanks for the save little pup

Flashback ends...

Everest: I've never talked about this to anyone before...I guess I just did because I happen to be in the same situation with you...

Marshall: Everest...I feel sorry for everything you had to go through...

Everest: it's okay Marshall, it's not your fault...*sighs*

Marshall patted the whimpering Everest's back...he now wanted to protect her with his whole life after everything he heard from her...

Marshall: Everest...

Everest: yeah?

Marshall: I promise...I will protect you,and I'll make sure you'll always feel safe with me...

Everest: aww Marshall...thanks...

Marshall: and I promise,I'm going to get us out of this forest...

Everest: well...you can start by looking for civilization...you've been listening to my past for like 3 hours now

Marshall: OH OK I WASN'T FOCUSED! OF COURSE, I'M GOING TO FIND- *hits a tree* who put that tree there? Anyways,SEE YA EVEREST!

Everest: *giggles* oh Marshall...

🤍Marshall and Everest are stuck in the forest,and they're gonna need each other and make it their best🤍

Thanks...I didn't really added the name of Everest's parents since first...I don't know what I could come up with and second...I don't think I had to anyway since they died...but anyways,thank you all for reading and like I said... don't worry,I didn't forgot about Katie here...or the PAW patrol
