I had pulled up to Jesus's house after the phone call from Mariana when we saw Lena and Mariana running out of the house, Jesus and I immediately ran out of the car to see what was going on.

"Mama what's wrong?"Jesus asked Lena

"Um Mike called and your mom's been hurt so we have to go to the hospital so we have to go see how's she doing.."Lena said trying to hold in tears

My jaw dropped and my eyes started tearing up but I knew I need to stay strong for Mariana and Jesus

"Here Lena let me drive and you can call Brandon, Callie, and Jude."I offered

"Thank you sunflower."Lena said pulling me into a hug.

"It's no problem." I said

We all piled into my car and made our way to the hospital where we all raced inside.

"Where is she?"Lena asked Mike who was leaning on the nurse's station with his head down.

"She's here. They're... they're working on her." Mike said turning to face Lena.

"We sent officers to get Brandon. Is there anybody else we can notify? Stef's father?" A woman who I assumed was Mama Stef's boss asked Lena

"No. He's not in town. How did this happen?" Lean asked as Mariana, Jesus and I stood back listening

"We went in the house, there was a guy, he had a gun." Mike explained causing Jesus to tighten his grip around me since he had pulled me close and was holding my waist.

"Where were you?" Lena asked as Jesus and Mariana shared a look

"Mr.Foster." A doctor called out before Mike could respond

"Yeah. How is she?"Mike turned and asked the doctor.

"Your wife's condition is critical."The doctor explained causing Lena to scuff

"She's my ex-wife."Mike explained

"I'm her domestic partner."Lena said with a hand movement to continue

"Oh.Ok. We have our trauma team working on your partner." The doctor said turning to Lena

"Can I see her?" Lena asked

"As soon as she's stable." The Doctor said

"She's not stable?" Lena rushed out

"Her lung collapsed, she lost a lot of blood." The doctor explained

"Is she gonna make it?"Lena asked

"We're doing everything that we can. As soon as she's stable, we'll bring you back." The doctor said before leaving.

"Was Ana there? Did she do this?" Mariana asked

"No. She was with us." Jesus spoke loosening his grip around me

"Don't be made at them. This is my fault." Mariana said

"Let's give your mom some space, Ok? Come on. Let's go over here and sit down." Stef's boss said pulling us away

After a while I called my parents knowing it was going to be a long night, they said that the Adam-Fosters could stay with us. After I came back to the waiting room Jesus pulled me close to him like he was going to lose me.

"Why didn't you call or text me back?"Mariana asked breaking the silence

"We weren't at Ana's house." Jesus said once again tightening his grip on me.

"Well I didn't know that. This never would have happened if you'd just told me where you guys were." Mariana said crossing her arms and turning away from Jesus.
