Just got out the shower.

I sighed before clicking out of our messages. I stood up out my bed and grabbed some shorts before sliding them on.

I grabbed my keys and wallet before sliding on my crocs. I jogged downstairs  and went into my dad's room.

I knocked twice before opening the door seeing him watching Martin.

"I'm going to Raniya's I'll be back tonight or in the morning."I said.

"Alright be safe I love you."He said.

"I love you too."I said before walking out closing his door.

I pulled up to the address Red sent me. I grabbed my phone and called him.

"Hello."He said.

"Open the door."I said before hanging up. I got out my car and pressed the lock button a couple times.

"Hurry up it's cold."He said standing by his front door.

I rolled my eyes didn't nobody tell you to have a long ass driveway.

I walked in and looked around taking in my surroundings. His house was nicely decorated and smelled good.

"So what you want to talk about?"I asked sitting down on the couch.

"Why you cutting yourself?"He asked looking at me with low eyes.

I sat quietly for a minute.

"Just wanted to."I said with a shrug.

The real reason I started back cutting myself was because I need to feel something other than sadness that's been taunting me.

"I know it's deeper than that, so what was it?"He asked looking me in my eyes.

I looked down and started playing with my fingers.

"I just needed to feel something other than what I was feeling in that moment. I'm so tired of being sad all the time."I said honestly.

"So what feeling did it bring you?"He asked.

"More sadness but I liked the pain."I said wiping my eyes.

He sighed before pulling me into a hug wiping my tears. I didn't even know why I was crying it just felt like all I could do.

"You gotta find a new way to cope because this ain't gone work."He said rubbing my arm softly.

"I've tried and I always result back to this."I said.

"Well we gone figure out something because cutting yourself ain't gone fix what you going through."He said pulling me into his lap.

I didn't say anything I just placed my face into his neck and stayed quiet and allowed sleep to take over.

Next Morning

I walked out the bathroom before getting back in the bed.

"What you want to eat?"Red asked.

"I'm not hungry."I said scrolling on tik tok.

"I didn't ask that."He said standing up from the bed.

He makes me itch.

"So what you want to eat?"He asked.

"McDonald's."I said dryly.

"Come on."He said grabbing his keys.

"Why can't you just doordash it?"I asked.

"Because it don't be as fresh and I need to stop at the store."He said.

I nodded before getting up slipping on my crocs.

"Why you never drive your other two cars?"I asked as we walked into his garage.

He had a trackhawk and a redeye charger.

"I don't like em no more."He said with a shrug.

I got into the passenger side of the Tesla.

"Let me play something."I said.

He didn't say anything he just handed me his phone. I scrolled through his playlist and pressed on Damage by H.E.R started playing.

"You packed already?"My pops asked standing in my door way.

"Just finished."I said zipping up my carry on.

I turned around looking at him. He held no emotion on his face.

"Savanna."He said in a stern tone.

"Kane."I said back in the same tone.

"Come here."He said. I sighed before walking over to him.

He grabbed my arm analyzing the cuts. He sighed before hugging me.

"I'm sorry I can't take the pain away Boog."He said.

I hugged him back.

"It's okay I'll get through it I promise."I said softly.

He kissed the top of my forehead before pulling away.

"We'll get through it together don't ever think your being a burden and have to go through shit by yourself."He said.

"Promise me you'll come to me when cutting or killing yourself crosses your mind."He said holding his hand out.

"Promise."I said.

We did our handshake sealing the promise.
