chapter six

over the next couple weeks Vienna settled in to high school and got used to her routine.
it had been 2 weeks since Vienna met rue , and as the two weeks went by she got closer to her. Vienna had noticed she always looked tired and kinda sick though she didn't ask about it. and soon she found out the reason.
over the two weeks the girls hung out , talked in the school bathroom and Rue would walk Vienna close to her house.
the two talked about themselves to get to know each other better , and that's how she found out about Rues addiction.

she didn't ask too much , deciding it would probably bother Rue and she didn't want to invade her privacy. but Rue would tell her some things and she would just listen , taking in her words. Vienna had told Rue about her past , some of her childhood.

Vienna thought of Rue as an older sister. though she didn't have one so she didn't know what that actually felt like , she guessed it felt like having Rue around. she trusted Rue as she was rarely sober and because she didn't judge much. she liked that. so she enjoyed being around Rue in a way.

Rue liked being around Vienna because she wasn't constantly judging her for her addiction and didn't nag at her to get clean. she liked that about the girl, she kept her thoughts to herself most like time. Rue knew she probably had thought some things about her addiction but she didn't say anything and that's what mattered. Vienna reminded Rue of Lexi a bit.

Vienna didn't know Lexi personally , she saw her around as well as her sister Cassie and her friends. she found them pretty though she was nervous around them. she didn't think they were mean she just found them .. scary. mainly Maddy as the first thing she heard her say was
"why does everybody think we fucked !?"

right now it was Friday , i was about to start walking home when i heard
"hey V"
i turned and saw Rue i smiled and said
"oh hey Rue" (Rues bold btw)
"do you wanna hangout later?"
"yeah sure. where ?"
"uh i don't know. maybe just walk around or something. you can invite your friends if you want"
"okay"
"alright in like 30 minutes meet me halfway to my house"
"okay"

after about 45 minutes all 5 of us were walking to some store Rue said she needed to stop at real quick.

soon arriving , it was a small store. Rue walked near the door and turned to us
"give me a minute"
we all nodded and watched as she walked into the store. i saw a red headed guy sitting at the counter , he didn't look that old.
he looked up and said something to Rue , i couldn't hear because i was outside.

sooner or later Rue came out with ... nothing ?
i assumed what she had gotten , being drugs.
though i didn't say anything.

Celia: you didn't get anything ?
Rue: no yeah i did

Celia slowly nodded , they knew about her addiction. not because i told them , but because it was talking about around the school and Rue said some thing about it.

Alex: so Rue is this a smoke walk ? or like we're just hanging out

i shook my head at my friends question.
Rue laughed a little and said
"both?"
which made him turn to her and his eyes widen and say
"oh shit for real ? i was just joking but okay"

i laughed at how he got kinda excited yet surprised.

we didn't do much in the 2 hours we hung out.
we walked around and talked , Rue did whatever the hell she bought from the store and we watched. we didn't say anything.

and later i walked home , i saw my moms car was
