Closer to the Edge Part Two

"That was fun! We should do it more often!" Uraraka said with a happy smile as she walked up the sidewalk to the dorms with Iida, Todoroki, Yaoyorozu, Kirishima, and Kaminari.

"I've never been on a triple date before now." Kaminari responded with a small laugh as he gave his boyfriend's hand a gentle squeeze.

"It's something we'll have to do it again sometime." Iida added, agreeing with his girlfriend.

"Who knows, maybe Bakugo and Midoriya will work things out and we can just have a giant group date one day." Todoroki said with a sad smile. He certainly missed having those two around. They always kept things entertaining, that's for sure.

"Have you guys talked to Bakugo today?" Yaoyorozu asked.

"No, but we have rehearsal later, so hopefully he'll be there." The blond responded as he looked at his boyfriend. "Do you think he'll show up?" He asked.

"I'm not sure. He hasn't been himself for weeks and I'm not sure there's anything we can do to change that. He needs to work through whatever he's feeling." He replied as he looked up to the sky, hoping his best friend would be at rehearsal today. They didn't like when he disappeared on them, much like today and yesterday.

"I miss him is all." Kaminari said with a sad smile. "I even miss him yelling at us for no reason."

"Me too Denki." The redhead said with a small sigh as he brought his gaze back to the ground. His eyes ran by a flash of red on the roof, causing him to stop in his tracks. He looked back up, eyes widening in shock. He didn't have to look very long before he realized his best friend was standing on the edge of the building.

"What's wrong Kirishima?" Iida asked in confusion when he had bumped into him from the sudden stop. The redhead didn't respond as his breathing stopped for a moment. His adrenaline began pumping as his heart started racing. He could see everyone's lips moving, but he couldn't hear anybody around him. The only thing he could focus on was his best friend. Without responding to anybody, he let go of his boyfriend's hand as he ran for the building.

"Eijiro!" Kaminari yelled, watching his boyfriend run into the building. Uraraka let out a loud gasp as her hand flew to her mouth. Her eyes widened in shock as she stared at the rooftop of the building. Everyone followed her gaze to the roof, all going silent at what they saw.

Kirishima heard his boyfriend call after him when he yelled his name, but he didn't care. He couldn't stop, he had to get to the roof. When he got inside, he went to the stairs, knowing the elevator wasn't as fast as his adrenaline. He raced up the stairs, two at a time, desperate to make it to the rooftop as fast as he could. When he finally made it to the top, he pushed open the heavy metal door. He let out a sigh of relief when he saw that Bakugo was still standing there.

"Go away, idiot." The blond said as he watched the rest of his friends run up the sidewalk, knowing they would be here soon too.

"Bakubro, get down." Kirishima said as he panted, trying to catch his breath from running up the six flights of stairs. His eyes trailed over his best friend's back before settling on his arms. Tears formed in his eyes as he saw several burn marks covering his arms. There had to be at least one hundred scattered across both surfaces. They knew he was hurting, but they didn't know he was hurting that bad.

"Kirishima, I mean it, go away." The blond warned as he moved a little closer to the edge.

"You don't have to do this dude." The redhead said as he slowly began moving forward.

"I drove him away. I picked fights with Shinso, I put too much stress on Izuku. I did a lot of stupid things to push him away. I really didn't want to break up with him that day." The blond started as he looked up to the sky. He felt like he should be crying at that moment, but he couldn't. "I didn't want him to leave, and I didn't want to break up with him. I love him so much that I can't handle it anymore."
