Bakugo sat behind the drums, trying his best to not play too loudly when Shinso was singing his parts. Ever since the purple haired man tried to tell Midoriya about his past with the fiery blond, they haven't been getting along. They were simply tolerating each other before, but now they were hardly making an effort with one another. Bakugo wanted Shinso gone and he wasn't trying to hide it anymore.

When the song came to an end, Midnight stood from her seat in the auditorium. Midoriya and Shinso attempted to catch her breath as she looked over the group, collecting her final thoughts. It was a great performance, but there was one flaw with it.

"Shinso, how do you feel about your performance?" She asked aloud as she turned to the purple haired man.

"I feel like it was strong and we rocked it. Nobody was off in the music, no notes were missed and I personally believe the song was good, so I feel great." He replied truthfully with a wide smile. He had written hundreds of songs, but this was the first duet he wrote with the freckled man, so he hoped she liked it.

"What about you Midoriya?" She asked as she turned her attention to the other man in the center of the stage. "How do you feel about your performance?" The green haired man stared at her for a moment as he pondered his decision. He didn't know if he should lie and say he felt great or tell her the truth. "Midoriya?" She questioned again when she got no response.

"Everyone else's performance was spot on, but mine was lacking a little bit." He replied honestly as he dropped the mic to his side before playing with the hem of his shirt. His heart was beating rapidly and he could feel Shinso's intense gaze on him.

"Why do you feel like you were lacking a bit?" She asked curiously.

"The song is great and I genuinely like it, it's just not the song for me. I believe that song would be better as a solo song for Shinso." He informed with a sad smile as he turned his attention to the man next to him. "I really like the duet we wrote, but I don't think it's meant to be a duet." He informed nervously, hoping the purple haired man wouldn't hate him or think he was saying what he was saying for another reason.

"I agree." Midnight informed with a small smile. "It's because you were honest and realized what was best for your music and your band that you both be receiving a 100% on your weekly song. Great job boys!" She said as she clapped her hands a few times. "If you want to head back to the class room, we'll assign new partners for duets and pick the solos. Kaminari, you're free to head back to your stage performance class." She said as she turned on her heel, quickly making her exit from the auditorium.

"Shinso, I'm sorry." Midoriya started as he turned towards his partner. "I'm really glad I got to do the duet with you and I wish my heart was in it, but it just isn't song for me." He said in a guilty tone, hoping the purple haired man wouldn't hate him.

"It is what it is, maybe we'll try writing another one in the future." Shinso responded with a simple shrug as he felt Bakugo's intense victory glare. He already knew it wasn't what Midoriya usually writes, so he was half expecting him to not love it as much as he did.

"You're not mad?" Midoriya questioned in confusion as the rest of the band approached them from behind.

"No, I'm just glad you were honest." He responded with a simple shrug. "We should head back to class though."

"I'll catch you guys later!" Kaminari yelled as he ran from the auditorium, knowing he had to get back as soon as possible. Since he wasn't attending for composing as well, he was supposed to be in another class at this time. Luckily, he joined the band with the rest of his friends, so this was also his performance assignment.
