"Mommy...mommy...moooommmyyyyyy." I woke up to Billie poking my cheek. "What's wrong baby?" I asked sleepily, wrapping my arms around her waist as she sat next to me.
"I nee' helps packing." She sighed. It took me 10 minutes to wake up fully but I quickly got ready and we stood in her closet.
She sat on the floor playing with her shoes while I held up an outfit and asked her if she liked it. She would always answer yes so after the 8th one I just gave up on asking her.
"By you saying you 'needed help' you meant 'mommy please do this for me' huh?" I asked squatting to her height.
My eyes trailed down to her hands. "I hope you plan on putting those back on." She grinned up at me as I stood back up. "Uppies." She made grabby hands.
"Billie you need to put the shoelaces back on the shoes." I warned. "Nuh uh...mommy do it." She pointed at me with a grin. "No little girl, how about we both do it and I let you have a lollipop after?" I bribed.
"Fine." She perked up. I showed her how to do it and soon we finished putting the laces on the three pairs of shoes. "Can I has it now?" She extended her hand.
"What flavor?" "Uhhh red." I chuckled at her answer before going to the kitchen and grabbing it. "Here." I opened it and handed it to her. "Fanks mommy." "You're welcome darling."
"Alright, let's watch something while you finish that." I sat her on the bed and grabbed her laptop. I put on 'Tangled'. Halfway through Billie asked for a bottle so I made it for her.
She slowly drank her milk, as her eyes fluttered and she eventually gave in and fell asleep. I let the movie finish before replacing her baba with a paci.
I tucked her into bed and made sure she stayed asleep. I escaped her room and told everyone in the living room I was leaving to go pack.
Leo decided to follow. Packing took longer than expected. "Shit." I looked at the time. It's 7pm, I left at 4pm.
Billie is most likely freaking the fuck out. I quickly threw everything in the car. Leo grabbed her favorite toy before sitting in the passenger's seat. I drove back as fast as I could.

I haven't even entered the house and I can hear Billie's sobs. My heart shattered a little as I opened the door. Maggie sat beside her on the couch trying to calm her down.
"Fuck- I am so sorry." I apologized. "There's nothing to be sorry for, but can you please calm her down. She's been crying for thirty minutes." Maggie slowly let her go, her sobs got louder. I didn't mind in asking her why no one called me.
I sat next to her and carefully brought her onto my lap. "Baby, hey it's ok. You're ok." She straddled my lap and I wiped her tears away with my thumbs.
"I'm right here." "Mommy left." She cried into my shoulder. "I know mama I'm so sorry, but I needed to pack and I lost track of time." I rubbed her head.
She calmed down and now she's just sniffling. "I was scawed." She mumbled into my neck. "I'm sorry princess, I love you." "I wuv 'ou too." I cleaned her nose with some kleenex.
Billie switched positions and tucked her head into my boobs. I cradled her body in my arms. Maggie gave Billie her favorite paci.
A minute later she was asleep again. I carried her to bed making her wake up a little bit. Scared of me leaving, she whined and held onto me tighter.
"I'm not going anywhere princess." I whispered kissing her cheek. Her grip weakened and I climbed in beside her. She cuddled into me as we napped.
