CHAPTER 3

Heart chuckled. "Good luck with that." she finished the cake with satisfaction. "It's a 9/10 for me, medyo nasobraan lang ng konting tamis but nonetheless it's delicious. Great job, Twiny."

I smiled at my twin sister. "Thank you."

Tumayo na siya at humikab. "I'll go ahead now, matutulog na 'ko. Bye."

"Have a nice nap." kinuha ko yung platong pinagkainan niya saka yun hinugasan.

I came from a Family full of Doctors yet i'm the only one who didn't proceed in medicine because it wasn't my passion. Hindi ako katulad ng kambal ko na bata pa lang ay nagpapakita na ng interest na maging doctor balang araw. We owned Tuazon Medical Centers and Tuazon Pharmacuetical Inc. but Heart is the one who managed them all.

If there's one thing that i'm really passionate about....then that is cooking.

Cooking has always made me happy, that's why I decided to pursue culinary to became a chef.
Sa edas na beinte ay natapos ko ang kursong Culinary Arts and Kitchen Management, majoring in Italian & French cuisine sa isang International Culinary school. After kong mag-aral, nakapagtrabaho ako sa isang Five Star hotel sa Europe sa loob ng tatlong taon. Isang taon akong naging second cook at dalawang tao naman naging first cook.

At the age of 25, I came back in the Philippines and established my own restaurant and named it V's Palace. I was lucky enough to have my family's full support even though it wasn't related to medical. They invested, they cooperate until it became well known.

5 years after, V's Palace has now 25 branches around the country: 10 branches in National Capital Region. 8 branches in Visayas and 7 branches in Mindanao.

May mga pinagkakatiwalaan akong empleyado sa bawat branches pero madalas hands-on ako sa pag-manage at monitor rason kung bakit lagi akong missing in action sa halos lahat ng bagay.

I'm very hard on myself when it comes to work, palagi akong busy at walang oras. Nagtatampo lagi sa'kin si mama dahil minsan lang akong magpakita sa kanya, same reason kung bakit ako hiniwalayan ng ex-fiancé kong si Maureen.

I admit, nagkulang talaga ako ng oras at panahon sa relasyon namin. I was too confident that she's okay with it but i was wrong. Hindi ko siya masisisi kung ayaw niya na dahil kasalanan ko din naman. But I do respect her decision. But one thing for sure is that I really did love her, nasaktan din naman ako nung naghiwalay kami. But i was able to recover fast because i'm not a dramatic kind of person. Ang importante naghiwalay kaming in good terms and got back as friends just like the old times.

So for now, i'm currently single. Madaming nagpapakita ng interes pero hindi ko ini-entertain dahil ayoko munang pumasok sa relasyon kasi siguradong Maureen 2.0 lang din yung bagsak nila.
I don't want my future girl to suffer the same situation like my ex kaya iwas muna ako ngayon.

Umakyat na'ko sa hagdan saka tinungo ang kwarto para magbihis.

Today is sunday and supposedly rest day ko ngayon, pero dahil hindi ako sanay na manatili dito sa bahay kasi nabobored ako, I decided to visit back that Café and try my luck to meet miss pastry baker.

I took a quick shower and dried my short wolf cut hair and wore my usual outfit. Kinuha ko yung leather jacket at shades sa sofa saka yun isinuot bago lumabas ng kwarto at bumaba patungong garage.

I drove my way to BitterSweet Cakes & Pastries, malapit lang yun kaya narating ko agad.

"Welcome back, bossing." bati sakin ng guard pagbaba ko sa kotse. I just smiled at him and went inside the café. Sinalubong ako ng mabangong aroma ng pinaghalong kape at cake pagpasok ko. Agad akong lumapit sa counter at hinarap ang baklang cashier na si Ian. I took my shades off and greeted him.
