"What ??"

"Shall we do the same?"

"Why do we do that? I said people who are in love do that."

"So..." Gukie turned tae's face to him and looked straight into those sharp eyes. "I love hyungie too."

The genuineness of those eyes didn't change at all. Tae took a long breath and averted his eyes.

"Do you even know what you mean, gguk? Do you even know what love is?"

"Yeah. I mean, I've read novels. And it's not like I love hyung the way I love my eomma. But I love you as much as I love her. I love chim hyung and noona too. But not like I love you. I want to be with you forever." Gukie's eyes were wet and because of the moonlight those were shining like two stars.

"But gukie, I'm a man.. You're a boy too."

"So ??? Can't a man love another man?" Even tae realized that what gukie was saying wasn't wrong. But it was not easy for tae, who was well versed in social norms as an adult, to accept it. Tae had seen with his own eyes the punishment meted out to homosexuals in England.

"You can, but not as lovers. Have you ever seen two men get married? Was there a story you read about two men falling in love?" Gukie shook his head.

"That's it.. It's unnatural for two men to be in love, gukie. In this world, it's wrong and disgusting."

"But hyung, eomma told me that if I love someone so much that I want to be with that person for the rest of my life, marry that person. Eomma told me never to marry without love.. If not I will have to suffer like her."

"I don't know gukie... how good it would be if we could do everything we want."

"If so, does hyung love me?" When gukie asked, tae asked himself the same question. Yeah, he already loves gukie a lot. He knew he is in love with the little one.

"Hmm.. If it was possible, I would love you too gukie."

"Silly hyung, that means you already love me. I know.. eomma said eyes never lie. Hyung loves me.. I can feel it."

As gukie reads him as easily as he reads a book, tae no longer goes against it. Only once in his life he decided to think about himself. He thought to be selfish for the first time.

"Do you think so ??"

"Yeah, so tell me.. hyung also loves me right?"

Tae didn't want to hurt those bambi eyes that were staring into his eyes. Tae decided to forget about social norms, laws and punishments. Gukie is more important to him than anything else. So he nodded.

"Hmm.. I love my gukie.. Love you so much." Gukie face lit up with a bunny smile as tae said. He just placed his lips on tae's lips. Even it was just a simple peck for a few seconds, it made tae greedy for that kiss.

"Where did you learn these? The last time I made a mistake and kissed you, you were scared like a puppy. Now you are acting so bold."

"That's when I realized I love hyung, because I have read in novels that people who are in love do that. Then our bodies would tingle.. feel weird in the tummy.. and we feel love." As tae listened to gukie's words, he stared lovingly at those moving lips and talking eyes.

"Petal.." As tae unknowingly let out the pet name gukie stopped talking and looked at tae with wide eyes. The next second, gukie's lips parted with a beautiful smile.

"Hyung said it. Please call me by that name again."

"No!"

"Please hyung.. say it again.. just one more time." Gukie climbed on top of tae's body.

"No, don't wiggle there darling."

"Wait then.." Gukie gave a evil smile and began to tickle tae.

"Hahahaa... gukie ah... Enough .. please.. Stop.... gukie... Yaahh, ok.. My petal, Stop that honey." Gukie stopped after tae said "petal".

"Evil boy."

"Yeah.. I'm a bad boy. Ok, forget it now. Umm, hyung shall we do that?"

"What?"

"The thing that the two in the picture did."

"Only adults can do it. You're still seventeen. We'll do it when we're eighteen." If tae hadn't said that he knew there would be no escape from the younger.

"Promise me then.. We'll do it when I'm eighteen?" As Gukie stretched out his finger, tae entwined his pinky and Gukie's pinky. Gukie put his thumb and tae's thumb together and tightened.

"Look, you made a promise. Now the promise cannot be broken."

"Hmm ok.. Get off my body now. Let's go to sleep." Gukie obeyed tae and laid down next to him. As tae's eyes closed, he heard gukie's voice again.

"Hyung, can I say something?"

"Hmm .."

"My birthday is next month. That means I'm eighteen in another month." Gukie said that and turned the other way and closed his eyes.

"WHAT ??" After hearing that, tae lost his sleepiness. He never thought gukie would be eighteen so soon. "Cunning boy .. that's why you took a promise from me.. right?" Gukie pretended to be asleep when tae asked.
