Why did you have to be so reckless?

There was no doubt that Luna got into a bunch of trouble. It was always like that, seemed like trouble followed her a lot but with it following her, she always knew how to slip out of it. This wasn't a problem if it was just her but now she always had someone with her.

It wasn't because Luna didn't like being around Quinn, contrary to it, she loved being around her. Luna just hated getting Quinn mixed in with all her troubles.

Just like right now

"Quinn! Keep running!" Luna yelled from the top of her lungs

"I can't keep up with you Lunes! You know that!" Quinn said from behind the other girl.

Luna slowed down to catch up with Quinn, and in return, Quinn smiled as a thank you but it dropped as soon as she saw Luna smirk. This wasn't gonna end well.

"LUNA DON'T YOU DA-AHH" Quinn yelled as she was lifted off the ground.

Luna carried Quinn in her arms and ran as fast as she could, doing her best to dodge the trouble that usually found her.  After a few minutes, Luna was able to evade them and finally lose them. She slowed down as she headed to the bodega where she knew Clyde would be. Luna and Quinn got there surprisingly quick and before any of them could register it Luna threw Quinn on the couch as gently as she could and ran to the freezer.

"Hey, guys?" Clyde was behind the counter and was very confused even though he had been harboring Luna ever since they had been small.

"Thanks for letting us crash here, Cly," Quinn told him as she fixed her place on the couch.

"I'm scared to ask, but what happened this time?" Clyde asked as he passed Quinn a bottle of water.

"Luna pissed someone off again, this time the cops got involved," Quinn said as she stood up to slap the back of Luna's head which was sticking out of the freezer.

Clyde laughed as he heard Luna let out a small 'owe'. He had grown up knowing about the trouble Luna got into and had always been a good influence in her life until Quinn came in. He had watched them interact and saw Luna mellow out and that she was falling in love with the girl. Clyde had to admit it though, they would make a cute couple.

The two hung around until Clyde's dad, Clark threatened them with work if they stayed any longer. The girls bid goodbye to the Father and son before heading out.

"50 bucks they get together by the end of the day," Clyde told his dad as he took out a 50 from his pocket.

"You're on!"  Clark said as he placed a 50 on the counter.

Back to the two girls, they had just gotten back to the park where the two could spend as much time as they could without trouble finding Luna.

"I still don't understand how you get into so much trouble," Quinn asked the other girl as they walked along the lake.

Luna chuckled as she continued to balance along the railings. "I don't know either but I promise you, I get in trouble for the right reasons."

"If you act for the right reasons then you shouldn't be in trouble at all." Quinn did not understand anything Luna had just said to be honest.

"Well if that's how the world works then we'd be living in peace and harmony and all those shiz they keep telling us at the group home," Luna said as she threw a rock in the lake making it skip. "But it's not. That's why there are kids like me on the street, getting in trouble just to get by."

"How are the others by the way?" Quinn asked.

Luna's smile got bigger as she told Quinn about what she and the others were up to. When Luna turned 13 she didn't stay at the orphanage anymore, she stayed at the group home where the teens were allowed to come and go as they pleased. They were all treated like shit over there and the caregivers couldn't care less about their situations so they had to fend for themselves.

As Luna was about to dive into another story about how they got their dinner, a group of cops yelled at her to freeze.

"That's my cue to leave," Luna said as she was about to run away.

Quinn pulled her back as she knew the cops were a bit farther away and Luna could run fast. "Call me when you get to safety?"

"I will," Luna said as she kissed Quinn's cheek before running away.

The cops ran after Luna, ignoring the girl she had left behind completely. Quinn chuckled as Luna knocked down a trash can for the cops to stumble over. As Luna disappeared from her line of sight, Quinn walked back home. Soon enough she did reach home but had not received a call from Luna yet which made her worry.

'Luna has to be fine. She's the toughest girl you know. She has to be okay.' Quinn thought to herself over and over again as she went through her school works.

After a while, there were knocks coming from her window. Quinn looked over and saw Luna smiling sheepishly. The older girl opened her window and let her in immediately. Quinn was about to start yelling at her for not calling when she saw Luna's posture. She got hit somehow. Quinn sat her on the bed but as Luna was about to protest, one glare from Quinn shut her up. Quinn grabbed the first aid kit and stitched up the would as best as she could.

"Why did you have to be so reckless?" Quinn scolded the younger girl.

"Cmon, I thought you liked a girl that ran into danger," Luna said as she smirked knowingly.

"Not when it's the girl I love," Quinn mumbled to herself but somehow Luna heard her.

"Finally admitting it, are we?" Luna asked. "I knew you loved me all along, Quinn."

"Wipe that smug grin on your face would you," Quinn retorted as she finished up the last stitch. "Of course, I would. Why wouldn't I? So I'd rather not see the girl I'm in love with getting hurt again. Got it?"

Luna swallowed hard at the threat. "Got it."

"Good, now lay down and rest," Quinn commanded.

Luna got the hint and laid down on Quinn's bed. Quinn smiled that Luna listened to her before placing the kit on the table and laying down beside her. Luna took the opportunity and stole a kiss from Quinn. The kiss was short but worthwhile and amazing to both girls.

"Try not to be so reckless next time will you?" Quinn asked from beside her as they separated from the kiss.

"We'll see my love, we'll see," Luna said as she kissed Quinn's forehead before they both drifted into sleep.

By the next day, the two girls headed to Clyde and Clark's bodega for some breakfast. Once Clyde saw them he smiled happily knowing that his best friend was happy and in love. Luna had texted him this morning about how the two got together so Clyde knew he had already won. Feeling victorious Clyde slid over to his dad and held out his hand waiting for the money which Clark had to fork over.

"Thanks for the free breakfast, Clyde," Luna said as she snatched the 50 out of Clyde's hands before turning to Quinn. "Shall we, my lady?"

Luna held her hand out for Quinn and Quinn took it as she smiled at the other girl.

"We shall."
