Part 2: Where It All Started

Yeonjun's POV:

Another day of me going to school. Not because I wanna learn but because I wanna meet my friends and I treat everyone in my class as a competition when it comes to grades.

That's the only way I can think to have good grades you know? I like the thrill of the competition.

"HueningKai!!" I called his name and he looked into my direction. How angelic.

"Yes hyung?" He asked.

"Wanna check the abandoned basement? I'll take care of you I promise. I just don't wanna go there by myself." I told him while we're still walking.

"Oh, that abandoned basement near our canteen right? Yeah I'm kinda interested in that too. Let's go!" He pulled me by my arms and ran. This is the best thing ever I swear.

I've liked HueningKai for a few months now and I don't think it will go away just like that. I like him. That's all that matters.

We arrived at the basement and a strange smell is already lingering.

"Wanna open the door?" Hyuka asked me.

"Sure, let's do it together." We both put our hands at the door knob. Before we can even twist it, someone is already banging the door.

Someone is inside the basement...

We both let go of the knob and looked at each other.

"hyung....what is that.." Hyuka asked me in a worried tone.

"I don't know, let me check." I knocked the door a few times.

"Hello, is anyone in there? Are you okay?" I asked whoever is inside. All we heard was a grunt and shout. A shout as if a person wants to attack someone.

The door was banging even louder so we stood away from it.

"What the fuck? Is that even a human inside or an animal?" Hyuka asked while still in shock.

I saw glass window but it's too high for us to look at. Who the hell puts a window that high?

"Hyuka, go grab that chair over there. Let's look at the window." Hyuka just nodded and gave me the chair.

I took the chair and stand on it. Good thing I'm tall and the chair is enough already for me to see.

I saw man covered in blood. No way...is that our Math Teacher? Is this why he's not teaching in our class anymore?

All the missing students are only inside this basement yet no one even checked if they're in here.

"Hyuka all the missing students are in here, including our math teacher!" I told him.

"Wait what? Go down and let me see." He said. I got down from the chair and he climbed up.

"Oh my gosh they're really here! Hyung we found them we're a hero yey!" He jumped down from the chair and hugged me.

Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh he's hugging me! Okay calm down Yeonjun calm down.

I hugged him back until realization hits us.

"Hyung...didn't you notice anything weird?" He asked. All the banging have stopped already.

"yeah, they're all covered in blood. They seem a little out of mind. Maybe someone is hurting them here." I told him.

I got back standing in the chair and told Hyuka to be the look out in case there's a teacher.

I slid the door open and it made a slight noise causing all of them to look in my direction.

"h-hey..." I told them.

They all shouted and ran near the window. Why did they not notice the small stairs and just climb up there to reach me? How dumb.

One of them is at the stairs and ran into my direction as if it's gonna attack me. I'm fast enough to close the window so it didn't get to reach me.

I looked the person who tried to attack me. Teeth covered in blood, a bite mark on the side of his neck, the eyes are fully red, veins fully noticeable, and seem to be out of mind. He can't even open the window.

What is happening to them? All of them is acting the same way.

I jumped down from the chair. "Hyuka, never open the door." I told him.

"Why hyung? What's wrong?"

"The people inside. The missing students and our missing teacher is acting weird. They might do something." I told him.

"Can I atleast look at what you saw up there?" He asked me again.

I'm worried that he'll be scared of what he will see but I don't think that this is something where I'm the only one who should know about so I let Hyuka.

"Okay fine, but never open the window." I told him before hugging him. "and don't be scared. I'm here." I added.

He hugged me back and said yes.

He climbed up the chair and he almost fell because of what he saw. The person that tried to attack me is still there trying to catch us.

I was there to hold the chair and secure Hyuka so he won't fall.

Hyuka tried to look around and saw the others who seem to be also out of mind.

"w-what if he opens the window.." Hyuka asked me.

"I don't think he knows how to open it. Hurry and go down so we can go to Miss Eunha and tell her about this." I held his hands to help him down.

We made sure to run as fast as we could before someone even catch us.

We successfully made it back to the school without being missing or caught.

"Hyung.."

"Yes? Are you okay?" I asked him.

"Yes I am but are THEY okay?"

"I'm sure they're not." I said.

"We should go tell this to Miss Eunha or maybe Sir Seokjin." He suggested.

"Wait, remember what Beomgyu told us when he went to the bathroom yesterday?" I asked.

"Yeah what about it?"

"Didn't he tell us that Mr. Seokjin have a bite mark in his arms and just told him to run away? He locked him in the bathroom right?" I said.

"Yeah he did. What's wron- wait...the guy on the window have a bite mark on the side of his neck." He told me while realizing what's happening.

"Exactly. And I also saw Bang Chan from Senior Class inside too. He's in the same condition as them with a bite mark in his shoulder." I told him.

At that very point, we knew what's happening already.

"What if Taehyun hyung is correct? What if someone let Mr. Seokjin out of the bathroom and he bit someone? We're all fucked up." he said in a very worried tone.

"We also hear a scream yesterday when we're eati-"

I was cut off when I saw a man running and asking for help.

"SOMEONE HELP ME- AHH" We saw a man attack Jeongin from the Junior Class biting his neck. Everyone ran and we saw more infected people attacking everyone.

"Oh my gosh hyung it's happening.." Hyuka told me.

"HYUKA BEHIND YOU!" I pulled Hyuka on my side and kicked the man that's about to bite him.

We're in chaos now.
