Chapter 6: Upcoming Mission

two days later

I and Fu Hua meet each other at Arena for sparring we promised

Fu Hua: Are you not going to your part time?

Kevin: We're still half of the day, Afternoon haven't started yet

Fu Hua: Using two types of weapon, interesting 

Kevin: It's a mimicry of the Key of Destruction, The dual pistol serve as a first weapon to use: Judgement of Shamash and the Greatsword serve as Cleaver of Shamash

Fu Hua: You're really an imposter of the Kaslanas

(A/n: It's still in my head 'sus, imposter, sussy baka')

Kevin: Indeed

A holographic screen then appeared close us, revealing a message "Ready?" we both tap it then countdown begins. As it begins to count down I mounted my greatsword at my back and equipped the pistols. I transferred my remaining honkai energy into the pistol and then created a fiery bullets that would mimic the Judgement of Shamash's bullets

"START!" a bang followed to the AI voice

I charge at Hua and take a few punches that was just blocked by Hua, as she quickly use uppercut to me I quickly try to dodge the attack, it was a success. Hua then gave my a few kicks that I was able block but I didn't know it would be a kicks of a thousand from a fast martial artist. I block most of them but some landed to my body which put me through pain, I grunted. Quickly, I gained my senses to scan my area and focus on the main goal. 

I shot few bullet to Hua but seems that she just blocked it with her gauntlets she then charge to me and tried to knock me. I lost my left-hand pistol and leaving me with my right hand pistol. I then gave Hua a punch in my right as I use the pistol on my left she then take my arm and pulled me knocking me but I gained my senses quickly and use the opportunity to use my pistol

Kevin: Headshot

Fu Hua flinch and back off

Fu Hua: Clever

Kevin: ...

I click the trigger to try and shot her but it has already drained, I threw the pistol to the ground and use the great sword. As the greatsword slowly pulled off my back it shines orange to yellow and emitted heat. I then stance squatting while looking at her with a serious face pointing the sword at her and backing the sword a little

I then charge at her, I swing as fast as I can and Hua just block it. our clashes has become faster and faster until to a point that I have to use a charged attack. I raised the sword and strike it to the ground she then dodge it. I raised back the greatsword and charge at her again swinging and clashing out weapons all together. I raised my sword again in a pace and strike her she blocked it and that collision broke our weapons. We knocked each other

Hua stands and approach while I still remained stick on the ground catching my breathe. She extended her hand to me. I took it and she congratulates me

Fu Hua: Not bad, not anyone can hold really long like you

"TIE!"

Kevin: It was truly honored to fight against an MANTIS such as yourself who was part of the Flame Chasers

Hua simply smiled

Kevin: Yeah

We parted ways and I saw Uncle Luca carrying a supply, I walked to him

Luca: Oh hey there Kevin

Kevin: Hey, what are you doing here?

Luca: Ahh just Principal's request of her bitter melon juice

Kevin: She sure do love bitter melon

Luca: Yeah, she eats most bitter melons than other vegetables as well. I guess the world's cutie can be world's scary idol

I smiled as it supposed to be a chuckle

Luca: Anyway mind if you help me with these?

I accepted his offer

Luca: Sweet

I took the other box and helped him. We both doze off and focus on where we put the supplies to until Luca stopped the awkward atmosphere

Luca: Actually I missed your how you and your father spend time with me

I look at him in curiosity

Luca: Back when we had him in the mafia... He was a great man who you can rely to and relief the pain... He didn't lied to us, he expressed his pain with us and we comfort him... Times when we needed help he was there, times when people needed us he instead use himself as a shield and met your mother... Our organization was like Schicksal and Anti Entropy who fight for humanity, despite our low honkai resistance. 

Luca: Your mother was also something, she was a focused valkyrie who were actually in top 10 leader boards in Schicksal ranking. She was jealous of Cecilia but when she met your father... she was no longer that kind of valkyrie who once despise on the Schariac. She focus loving your father and created you. Love is something strange that can overcome anything and then as the second war...

Luca frowned while also keeping smile but rather his smile had a painful emotion behind it. My mother knew about the Kaslana house but to make my father happy I believed that she accepted it. Well she didn't really care about honkai and being pretty obsessive to father

Luca: I could never thank them enough including the my Mafia, Ahaha sorry past can have really painful side

Kevin: I see. 

I was amazed to listen on Uncle Luca's story about my father and mother

Luca: Your uncle was the only one of the member who survived the war... He swore to train you under his name

Kevin: I'm impressed

Luca: Haha you should. They are one of the special people who protected my smile after all, for me they are heroes of everyone and not just to me. Even they did little they manage to get people alive to this day. And bought time to delay the Herrscher of Void

We finally arrived at Theresa's office and Luca knocks

Luca: Principal it's the delivery!

Theresa then reply behind the closed door

Theresa: Come in!

I put the supply down and open the door

Theresa: Thank you Kevin, also Kevin enter I have something to tell after this

Kevin: Understood

Luca and Theresa talk to each other and thanked him for literally everything. As they finished talking Luca patted me in my shoulder

Luca: I'll see you at the bakery

I nodded

Kevin: Principal, What is the matter?

I ask Principal, she then clears her throat

Theresa: This is your first mission and it is clearly dangerous one that was assigned to your squad

Kevin: And?

Theresa: I believe grandpa is at it again. But call us if something happens okay? You're squad will parting with Fu Hua. I'll spare the details to Himeko. You're dismissed

I nodded and went back to dorm

Theresa: Kevin Kaslana, the only student who has an ICHOR surgery.... I'm worried, I hope you're not at it again... Grandpa
