KABANATA 1

"Ate please, kahit sandali lang, gusto ko lang kumustahin sina Abi kung okay na ba---." I said as the door to my room opened. Pero natigilan ako ng makita na hindi ang Manager ko ang pumasok. The man looks really familiar. But, I just can't remember where I actually saw him. I'm not sure, but I could see the deep rage and contempt in his two eyes as he observed me.

"So you're truly awake,"  He said.

"Who are you?" Naguguluhan kong tanong dahil hindi ko talaga maalala kung saan ko siya nakita.

"Ako lang naman ang fiance ng isa sa mga pinapatay mo." He said. I grimaced since I had no idea what he was talking about.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I said that made him laugh, even though there was no humor.

"Don't fucking fool me!" He shouted, making me close my eyes.

"You know, I'm not kidding! I have no idea what you're talking about, and I have no idea who you are at kung sino ang fiancee mo! " Kalmado ngunit mariin kong saad.

"Oh? Really? Hindi mo kilala ang fiancee ko?" Sarkastiko niyang saad.

"Who's your fiance then?" I ask.

He laughed. "Siguro nga hindi mo na matandaan sa dami ba naman nila?" Sabi niya na mas lalong nagpakunot sa noo ko.

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"Abigail Ramos. Siguro naman kilala mo na siya?" I frowned at what he said.

"I don't understand what ---." I couldn't  finish what I was about to say because
Christine entered the room through the
door that had abruptly opened. She went
up to me right away.

"Are you okay? Sinaktan ka ba niya?" She asked me worriedly. Umiling ako. Naguguluhan.

"I don't know what he's saying."

"Atty, Gallego, get out of here before I call the security!" She demanded the man in front of us.

"Wait, we're not done talking yet." Pigil ko.

"No, he needs to leave,  nanggugulo siya dito!" Si Christine.

"No! I need to explain to him."

"You don't have to explain anything to him because you're not doing anything wrong!" Si Christine na medyo nagpapanik na. Mas lalo akong naguguluhan sa inakto niya.

"Not doing anything wrong?!" Stranger's groin. "Kailan pa naging mabuti ang pagpatay sa kapwa?!" Sigaw niya na nagpapikit at the same time nagpatigil sa 'kin.

"Christine, what the hell is he talking about?! I didn't kill anyone?!" Natataranta kong saad kay Christine.

"I know! I know. So, calm down." She said at hinarap ang stranger. "Atty, please! Get out of here!" She said calmly but emphatically.

"I'm not done yet. Because of her desire to get up nagawa niyang ipa-patay ang fiance ko and her other colleagues!" He shouted.

I shuddered because I could not understand what he was talking about.

"I don't know what he's saying!" Naiiyak na ako. "Please, let me see Abi! I need to talk to—"

"Shut the fuck up!!!" He cut me off. "Don't ever mention my fiance's name again!!!" He shouted violently and slammed the door shut.

"C-Christine, w-what does he mean?! Where is Abi and what happened to her?!" Sigaw ko sa Manager ko. She was also crying and restless. "Please! T-Tell me what happened to them."

"N-Nicole, t-they're gone!" Sabi niya na nagpatahimik sa akin.

"No! That's not true! Alam kong buhay sila! Didn't you say you'll take me to them?! Kaya nagbibiro ka lang!"
