Brielle's POV ~

Bella bursted into my room at exactly 5:30 am causing me to give her a hateful and confused glare.

" What the hell do you want, Isabella?" I spat looking at my dressed sister.

" I can't find my mascara." She said and my brows knitted together.

" You don't even have mascara- you don't even wear makeup." I say before watching her snatch mine off my vanity.

" Isabella!-" I yelled as she slammed my door shut behind herself.

I rubbed my face before realization dawned on me. She was doing this for Edward. Bella literally never wore makeup but the second a guy she likes shows me kindness she does.

I got out of bed and went into her room to see her applying some eyeshadow from the pallet I thought I threw away weeks ago.

I couldn't help but laugh.

" Are you seriously putting on makeup because of your crush on Edward?" I ask and she glares at me.

" I'm not putting it on because of him in putting it on because I want to, Brielle. Whatre you talking about?" She asks caking on some blush onto her pale cheeks.

" You know what I'm talking about. Remember what happened the last time you went all out for a guy who didn't like you back?" I ask and she throws my mascara at me.

" Shut up, Brielle! You stole Chris from me! You knew he liked me so you tried your hardest to take him and you did! Fucking whore." She yelled and I scoffed.

" Firstly, I didnt try to steal him from you nor did I know you liked him! He just liked me because I'm not a fucking cunt, Bella!" I yelled back throwing the mascara tube at her face making her gasp.

We just stared at eachother with hatred in our eyes before I spoke.

" Look, I don't care that you're putting on makeup. Just do it for the right reasons and not just to impress some boy." I say genuinely and she rolled her eyes.

" I am doing it for the right reasons. Just get out and mind your business, you nosy bitch." Bella said before pushing me out of her room and slamming her door in my face.

I huffed before going up to my room and grabbing a towel to take a shower. Might as well get ready now now that I'm awake.

After getting ready I went downstairs to see my dad enjoying some coffee and pancakes.

" Whatre you doing up so early?" He asks and I shrug.

" Couldn't sleep, I guess." I lie, not wanting to tell him about why I'm actually awake.

" Well I'll see you both after school, they need me down at the station early today." Chsrlie explains before kissing my forehead and heading out.

After I arrive to school The Cullen's pull into the parking lot shortly after. I soon notice a certain Cullen was missing from the group; Edward. And the next day, another no show. Days passed and Edward was nowhere to be seen. Alice ended up invited me to their table after a week with Edward not showing up and they all greeted me with kind smiles as my sister watched from a distance. After making normal conversations and getting to know each of the Cullen's/ Hales I worked up the courage to ask where the beautiful brunette was. They all went slightly stiff but Alice remained calm and answered my question, like she saw it coming. Apparently, Edward was up in Alaska visiting some family and attending one of his childhood friend's funerals. His friend had a terrible accident and passed away. I frowned at the news before changing the subject.
