Hanging out with Dudley felt bloody weird to Harry, it would take some getting used to, he was so used to his cousin shoving him whenever he saw him that to be walking next to him was strange, it didn't help with the death glare Draco was giving him this whole time, it was like he was burning a hole through Dudley's skull, Hermione stayed silent behind them so Harry took it upon himself to say hi to her,

"When I said I wanted to come here I didn't know your cousin would be here," She whispered, "Sorry, I really wanted this to be fun,"

"It is fun!" Harry assured her, "We can always reschedule and do something that no one we know will do," Harry told her,

"Yeah, You're right," She shrugged, "Did you see how protective he was of you?" Hermione said in a hushed whisper, "Now that was interesting," She smirked,

"Maybe a bit," Harry chuckled, Harry sighed as they continued to walk to the food court, Harry could see Draco talking with Dudley but he couldn't hear them because of how far ahead they were.

~

When they decided what they wanted they all sat at a table, Dudley was nice enough to buy lunch for everyone there as an apology for intruding on their day, Draco didn't look that forgiving but still took the food anyhow,

"I moved out of dads," Dudley said suddenly, "I tried to get mom to leave him but she won't, I am staying with a friend who has no problem with me staying there, I haven't talked to them for months, after thinking about everything they put you through I just couldn't stay there," Dudley explained, Harry nodded as he didn't know how to respond,

"Well, At least now you can be who you want," Harry told him, "Although it must have been a big transition for you,"

"Yes, it was," Dudley sighed, "So how is Hogwarts?" Dudley asked,

"It's alright," Harry shrugged, "It's different than last year but it's okay," Harry explained, "I still love it nonetheless," Harry told him.

~

The rest of the conversation was them catching up as his friends ate and stayed silent which made Harry feel bad since he came here with them and not his cousin so when Dudley said his goodbye and left Harry let out a sigh of relief,

"I'm sorry our day got interrupted," Harry apologized, "I'm glad he is trying to be better," Harry stated,

"No worries," Hermione smiled, "It's great that he is reaching out, At least he is trying to make his amends," Hermione explained,

"Enough about him," Draco rolled his eyes, "Let's continue changing your style," Draco told him, Harry nodded,

"I thought we bought enough?" Harry shook his head, "I mean, I think this one outfit is enough," Harry explained but they both just shook their head, "How is it not enough?!" Harry exclaimed,

"Because you need more," Draco told him, "The ones we got weren't even tried on," Draco shook his head, "How can we make a good decision if we didn't even see how the outfits look on you?" He asked and all Harry could do was shrug,

"So you sit down and Draco and I will do our magic," Hermione winked, Harry rolled his eyes as his friends went further into the store leaving him alone once more.

~

He liked how the day was going and for the first time in a long time he was actually happy, he knew he had to pay his friends, he wished Ron were here as well but he knew it would take time for Ron to be okay with Draco, Harry did see where Ron was coming from but Harry was so tired of holding grudges that he just couldn't hate Draco anymore, in fact, he had gained feelings that scared him more than anything else.

After they both made him try on half a dozen outfits, Harry had finally been done, They ended up buying 10 outfits for him,

"I thought we all were going shopping together?" Harry shook his head, "Not just for me," Harry huffed,

"This is a celebration of your birth, remember?" Draco reminded him, "So of course, we are just going to be focusing on you," Draco rolled his eyes as they all walked out of the mall,

"But we have already done that so it should just be Hermione," Harry told him, "Not you," Harry shook his head,

"Why don't you like us celebrating you?" Draco asked, "You are our friend, after all," Draco reminded him causing Harry to sigh in response,

"Just because we are friends does not mean you guys have to do all this," Harry told them, "It just seems like too much,"

"Nothing is too much for my best friend," Hermione chimed in, "So stop selling yourself short, It is not a good look on you," Hermione told him but Harry just kept quiet,

Harry watched Draco look at him worried as they walked beside each other, Harry looked away as he looked straight ahead, he loved that they cared but it still felt so wrong to Harry, maybe because he was not used to it. Harry never realized how beautiful Hogwarts looked at night, it was quite remarkable if he was being honest. He was glad that the halls were empty it meant that it was easier for him to walk into Draco's room, he didn't really care what people thought of them being friends but he was more worried about it backlashing on Draco, he didn't know how Draco was handling all the hate Harry knew he got from him being a death eater.

~

"What had you so lost in thought?" Draco asked as they walked fully into his room, Harry glanced at him and shrugged, "Is everything okay?"

"Yes, Everything is fine," Harry assured him, "I was just thinking about not important stuff," Harry told him, "Don't worry about it,"

"Okay, Whatever you say," Draco sighed, "You should just ask Mcgonnagal to room in here," Draco suggested which made Harry glance at him to see if his expression was serious,

"You want that?" Harry asked, "But aren't you worried about the backlash you are going to get?" Harry asked and that caused Draco to raise an eyebrow at him,

"Not really," Draco shrugged, "I mean, deep down yes, but honestly, I much rather have someone to room with if I'm honest," Draco told him,

"But are you sure you want me as a roommate?" Harry asked as he was still unsure about all this, "I mean, I don't want to intrude," Harry looked down,

"You are not intruding," Draco shook his head, "I think the company will be nice, You can always say no, I was just putting the offer out there," Draco explained as Harry nodded slowly,

"Okay," Harry gave in, "I'll talk to the headmistress," Harry told him as he sat down on the mattress Draco had pulled out for him.

Harry would have never thought that Draco would offer to have him as a roommate and if someone told him during the first year he would have called that person crazy, it was bizarre how much things have changed over the years.
