♤6. Meeting an Old and New Friend♤

Y/n flinched again and stepped back showing her adorable displeasure while she covered her ears.

"Look, look, Itadori-kun~" Gojo proudly presented the young raven with him. "Isn't she cute? So cute? Veeeeryyyy cute?"  He began to poke her cheek and playfully laughed.

"G-Gojo-sensei... are you sure she's Y/n? She's not a doppleganger of Y/n?" He pointed at Y/n with a shaky look, a blush was plastered on his cheeks.

That was so cute!

I want to pinch her cheeks!

I want to cuddle!

Aaaaahhhhh!!!

His inner peace was beginning to falter. He just knew that this wasn't good for his heart!

"Of course not!" Gojo laughed and cuddled the small bean. "She recently got her ears and now she's annoyed-- I mean, sensitive with big noises." He explained.

"Oh--" after realizing that he had been loud this whole time, Itadori covered his mouth. "I'm sorry, Y/n. I didn't know."

"You have a mission now, right?" He asked.

"Yeah."

"Great! Then take this cutie with you. She's all yours for the week!" He petted the girl's head with a big smile.

"Eh? Eeeeehhh?" Yuuji's ears began to turn red. That sounded odd, but probably only to him.

"Y/n's been selfishly hogged by the first and second years at school." Gojo explained amused. "And she's clearly been worried about you eversince you disappeared. But, Nobara and Megumi didn't have the heart to tell her that you died so up until now, she had no idea."

Yuuji flashed a guilty smile. "I-is that so?" Then he looked at Y/n in front of her. "I'm sorry, Y/n, for making you worried."

"Alright. I'll be leaving Y/n to you. Ciao~." Just like that, Gojo happily made his escape.

After disappearing, Itadori had no choice but to take Y/n with him to their mission. Ichiji also gave Nanami a heads up message before the three went to their attempted test on whether Junpei was the culprit of the murder or not.

As the two men recounted the plan, Y/n stared at the curses in Itadori's hand. She hadn't attacked it yet since it looked like it won't be escaping soon.

As their plan commenced, Y/n was pulled to hide in some random electric pole as they observed Junpei speaking with a fat adult.

The young girl had noticed the odd fluctuations of that young soul but did not do anything about it since she did not understand why she, Ichiji and Itadori had to watch.

But as Y/n watched. Blood red soul suddenly sprang away. "Ah! It ran!" The boy beside her screamed making her flinch.

Yuuji had started chasing after the small curse who happened to be towards Junpei's direction. Y/n followed as he listened to him exclaim in more than ways than one while covering her ears most of the time.

As she did, it seems like some bickering happened between Itadori and that bigger but short person. He suddenly pulled down the man's pants, snatched them off and ran away. The man tried to catch up with him, leaving a confused Junpei.

Y/n stood beside the confused boy and stared straight ahead. When he noticed her, he almost jumped from the sudden appearance.

"Uh... umm, h-hi?" He greeted.

When Y/n heard this gentle voice, she turned towards him and felt like her ears were soothed rather nicely. His voice was very soft spoken and throughout the conversation that she listened to, he most likely have the best calm voice next to Toge's.
