"here you go" Emily said coming into my room a few mornings later, I looked at her confused as she handed me a letter.
"What is this?" I asked and she shrugged her shoulders
"I haven't got a clue but it's addressed to you" She said before leaving

I looked down at the navy blue envelope more and more confused as the seconds passed. Nobody but the gang and Spencer know where we are staying, I don't understand. This isn't even Spencer's handwriting 
I opened the envelope to reveal some thick cream paper with a hand written letter inside 

'Dear Riley,

I never expected things to end this way. In fact I never expected them to end at all, whether he is too stupid to see it or not. Spencer lost a diamond when he threw you away
Under no circumstances will I defend my son's actions, I am completely disgusted by them if I'm honest..

You truly have been a blessing and a light of hope to our family Riley, I hope you never forget that
Olivia certainly adores you and I don't want you to miss out on anything with her so with your blessing I would love for us to stay in touch, you can always come and visit and of course come and see your favourite partner in crime 

I know she is meant to be a part of your sister's wedding and providing you are happy with it, Abram has offered to drop her off the week beginning and then pick her up the day after
But if that is something you aren't happy to do then we understand. She's a handful so I can't blame you 

I want you to know that it doesn't matter what Spencer did, you'll always be a daughter to both of us. You'll continue to make us prouder day by day and I can't wait to see what you have left to conquer 

Since Spencer has come back, he's tried blaming it all on this James fella and I won't lie I had a snoop - he's quite the looker isn't he

Regardless Riley, if this James boy is really as brilliant as Spencer claims. I wish you both a long and happy life together 
Anyone that you choose to spend your life with will be one lucky guy 

Of course we always wanted it to be you and Spencer but now, I'm glad you got out when you did. I don't know what they boy was expecting but I'm proud of you baby
I hope you know that

I smiled reading the letter over and over again
The biggest upside I can see to all of this pain is the fact I haven't lost the family I gained, sure it could have the potential to be awkward but Nellie and Abram truly took me in on my darkest days and if they are willing to stick around
Why should I waist my tears on a silly boy who didn't want to?

I walked downstairs jumping onto the sofa next to Hunter who chuckled looking at me
"someone seems happier today" He said looking at me
"I solved the flower girl problem" I said looking at Emily's who's face lit up
"How?" She asked
"That letter?" I said making Emily nod

"It was from Spencer's mum" I said making the rest of the gang look at me confused
"Abram is going to drop Liv here the week of the wedding then will pick her up the day after" I said smiling
"It's nice they are still sticking by you" Eldon said smiling in my direction

"Yeah" I said smiling at myself
"Does she know what happened?" Hunter asked and I nodded
"And she's pissed" I said making them all laugh

"As she should be" He said fist bumping me
You know what. I'm reading for bigger and brighter things. Screw Spencer.
