Was This Too Easy?

Everyone got up from their seats and went to their designated place. I spoke to Maraj, telling her she did a great job, before going over to my team and letting them know what will happen.

Orlando Police Department
3:50 p.m.

                             Onika's POV

To say I was nervous was an understatement. I've done this plenty of times but this would be the case of my career if this thing went through. I just hope everything goes as planned. It was nearing the time for us to leave. I went to the back parking lot where everyone else was at. It's only 20 of us in total, we plan on calling in extras, to arrest his accomplices, when we complete the case. We started loading up the cars with equipment and ourselves.

"Alright team leaders, make sure all of the members on your team are with you?" the Chief said. "We shall have 20 in total so when we get that number, we'll be ready to roll out."

All of us did a final headcount then we left. The nerves were definitely there. It was about a 10 minute drive before we got to our location. I argued with Knowles the other day about where our location should be. She wanted it to be right where he was but I told her it should be a few buildings down and of course I won that argument. We got out of our vehicles and set everything up. It took us about 30 minutes before we were ready to roll.

"Okay everyone! Get with your team leader"

Everyone got where they were supposed to be.

"Now that you're with them, please remember what your job is here. Only shoot if you've been shot at, we don't need anyone here dying. My team, we're going in first. Dave and Jackson, you'll be in front of me, I'll be in the middle, and you two will be behind me. Are y'all ready?"

They gave me a confident look which let me know that they're ready. It took us like 5 minutes to walk to the building. When we got in front of the building, we got into formation and we went in. Knowles team was behind us, followed by the other two teams. I don't know if this man is an idiot or he just doesn't care because there weren't any guards within the first 30 feet of the building so it was very easy for us to get in. Dave gave us a signal to stop and look to the right where there was a guard who stood about 6ft and weighed at most 200 pounds. Since Jackson was the biggest of all of us, I signaled for him to go take the guard down and put handcuffs on him. We took a few steps back and watched Jackson do his work which didn't look hard for him at all. He finished that and we got back to work. We traveled through the halls of the building until we came across of a room. This is too easy I thought, something is bound to happen. I hope Knowles picked up these signs as quick as I did. I motioned for Dave to listen to see if he could hear anything on the other side of the door but there was no need for him to do that because we all heard the loud moan that was behind the door. I told Dave to kick through the door, which he did and it revealed the man, with a woman, who we were looking for. Is he really having sex at his warehouse? Disgusting. I walked through the door and spoke up.

"Clifford Harris, we've been searching for you and it was quite easy to find you. Tell me what will happen before we walk back out there with you in custody."

"Why don't you just take me out there and see bitch."

I didn't even entertain his foolishness. I texted Knowles we found Harris and for her to be on the lookout because of how easy it was. I also told her to call for more officers to assist us. I then told the young woman in the room to get dress and leave the premises immediately. Harris was staring at us with a sly grin.

"Harris we don't have time for your foolishness. Put on clothes or we'll take you out there while you're naked."

Not me though, one of them can grab him.

"I mean it was easy to get me. Will it be easy to keep me? Will it be easy for y'all to make it out of here al-"

"That's it. Dave, get this man. Everyone else, let's get back focused."

I got a text from Knowles that read, "everything is under control now. backup is here, bring Harris."

"Okay guys let's go, still be on the lookout for anything unusual."

Dave left out with Harris first and then we all
followed behind him. So far everything has been smooth until I heard a smacking noise from behind me. I turned around and saw one of my detectives on the ground with a man beating the shit out of her. Mason told me he'll take care of it and to follow Dave and Jackson out of the building. We almost made it out until I felt a stabbing pain in my side and I looked down to find a knife in my side. "What the hell?" I thought as I turned around and saw a woman with the most beautiful eyes grinning at me. Jackson came back but I told him to leave so I could handle this bitch myself. She had a huge height advantage over me, not to mention I had a blade in my side.

"Are you sure you want to do this little lady?" the woman asked me.

"I would be a stupid bitch to let you think you did something, I have to show you different"

She laughed and then she charged at me. People underestimate me because of my size but they fail to realize that I am an great fighter. It wasn't hard to get her on the ground but she managed to shove the blade deeper into my side which caused an excruciating pain. She was beating my ass while I was on top of her so I had to focus. I punched her repeatedly until she gave up on hitting me. I then yelled for another officer to assist me on getting this big bitch up out of here.

"Ma'am, do you need help as well?"

"Thanks but no thanks, I can get out of here myself."

"No problem ma'am, I'll call for the ambulance to assist you when you make it out of here."

He said that then he left. I shortly left after him where I was greeted with the rest of the crew.

"Aw Maraj, you're bleeding!"

"Knowles, I have a knife in my side. Of course I'm bleeding."

"Let's get you to the ambulance. Team C is going in now to collect with evidence and Team D is helping them. We ran into a little trouble as soon as you sent that text but knowing me, I was able to handle it. Of course with the help of my team. Harris is in custody, I must say this was a little too easy. Maybe there is more to it, maybe we're missing something but I have a feeling that this is not over."

"I've noticed that as well, I don't think this is over either. We got who we wanted but more will definitely come out."

"In the mean time, we need to catch up"

"Knowles we've spent a whole day together"

"Yeah but that was for work, we could go somewhere as friends."

"That'll be fun. Let me heal up first then we can do that"

This is probably the longest chapter I've typed. I hope y'all liked it. This story is only going to get better so I hope y'all stick with me through this story.
