It was an average day. As one would expect of a random weekday with no special occasion in sigh whatsoever.

Despite that, the humid heat in the atmosphere sonehow made it worse to walk around the streets instead of using public transportation. Where at least they had air conditioning that would work better than a fan.

While I was sweating, not far away, beside me walked my wife, Mikasa. I smiled, thinking to myself, how I'd made it to yet another day where I was able to celebrate how far I had come. How things do pay off. As long as we do them for the long run. Consistency paid off more if you did a little bit every day.

A bit of luck was involved, too, of course. It was the same force that made my wife somehow fall for a dork like me.

I glanced up in the sky, bright blue, a sight to behold. I felt embraced by the good weather in spite of the warmth. When I turned back to her, interlinking our warm hands, I broke out into an awful case of fuzzy warm feelings inside my stomach. The love of my life, who happened to be one of the greatest actresses of this age, and at last, when she walked through the door of our home, she was my wife and that was Mikasa Ackerman.

Her dark hair reflecfed in the sunlight, the smile she showed me was one I wiah I could capture. Just so I could remind myself, there is always going to be someone even when I am on a rough path. A rrliant partner in a dark moment was wrth far more than one would ever consider.

ßlooked at me, smiling brighter than anything else. My heart jumped in a sudden manner. These normal days— those were the best. There were no words to define them. They were just special somehow.

"And... Are you excited about the monthly picnic?" She questioned in that low voice that should sound more similar to an interrogation than a sweet song, but I loved thag for some reason. Soft and soothing.

A slow, gradual smile built, my eyes crinkling in joy. "Why, yes, of course." I paused, "After all, we're seeing all of our friends and their partners, well except Eren" I expressed my joy, although someone my age would likely be expected to act less cheerful and more subdued, I

As we went on our way, the dust from the path kept rubbing against our shoes while birds chirped. Sooner or later we passed some trees in the park. I kept smiling like on the first day at my wife. My wife, that did sound indeed great in my ears.

I couldn't keep my eyes from her— finally, everything was fine - no great better than my dreams ever could be. Around the corner, a tall brunette with a short blonde appeared in my sight.

A small smile made itself comfortable on my lips. I was clinging on Mikasa's arm, while the blouse creased there was only a big smile to be seen out of the corner of my right eye.

"You know, I still love you like how I did on the first day, and that will never change. You're stuck with me. change." Mikasa told me, a grin sneaking onto her features. I laughed,  feeling my heart flip that I wasn't opposed to for once. Not as long as my wife was cmtve cause. I adored the feeling as much as I adored the cause of it.

"I can't even outdo that," I said poking her nose. The smile I wore physically hurt. In a good way. The type that would make you look old and wrinkled later, but it was a testament to your happiness.
