My opinion: Neutral to ship, people maybe ship it because of opposite attract dynamic? The only scene that I see why people ship it with a canon reason is because of the second movie: Heroes Rising, they fought together in the cave, the reason is just like TokoTsu (Fought Ectoplasm in exam), and when Mina pats Dark Shadow's head when she got carried.
