Also, I'm changing the tense to past, just in case anyone gets confused. Now onto the story...
Jasmine's P.O.V
Monday had come way too soon to be even called natrual. I could barely remember the weekend. Maybe it was mainly because of the fact that I dreaded the thought of seeing him. But nevertheless, Monday rolled around and I braced myself for the nightmare that was Xavier.
When I woke up, I was met by the annoyed groans of Hope, who was complaining about not having, and I quote, 'A damn car to chauffer her around to and fro school'. Where she learnt such things will continue to make me roll my eyes but I could really care less.
Crust littered the corner of my eyes as I literally slipped and fell in my shower, and in the process, stubbed my toe in the corner of the soap stand. For a murderer I was about as graceful as a inebriated drug addict.
30 minutes later and I was dressed up ready for school.
As I strolled into the gates of hell, also known as high school , I kept up a high head. With the way every one stared at me you'd have thought that I was the principal, the devil, but just like everyone else, I was a mere mortal with a few particulary un-usual/unsettling secrets. No, the real devil was Heather Maine.
Completely irrelevant to my life, I would have probably killed her if it wasn't for the fact that she was the mayor's daughter. The thing is, her abomination of a family would probably track me down faster than a guard dog sniffing for a bloody T-bone steak if I even tried to touch her pretty little neck.
See my problem?
This could explainmy disdain for the Xavier Maine. I mean, of course they were related, they are all un-natrually beautiful, making the rest of us feel insecure some a little less than others. Though honestly, I wasn't ugly, and I sure as hell knew it. Being part Egyptian gave me beautiful tan-brown skin, something I knew people would die to have, I'd do the honours of course. Ha ha ha ha.... No? Okay then.
However, back to the real point, Heather Maine basically ran things around our school, and used her dad as an excuse for anything and everything; I'm late, but my dad said he would handle it. I don't have my equipment, but my dad said he would handle it. I got caught with the basketball team's coach in a compromising situation, but my dad said he'll handle it.
The last one was not a joke though, she really was caught with the basketball teams' coach. But I wasn't gonna lie, he wasn't some burly 45 year old man, but instead a pretty fit 20 something year old who seemed to have a thing for taking his shirt off for training, not that I was complaining, of course.
Despite all of this, no one ever batted an eyelid because she was inevitably the mayor's daughter. The need to strangle her always grew more when she threw herself at Kai, but I knew for a fact that would never happen. If it did, f*ck the mayor that b*tch would be dead.
Back to the oncoming reality, I made my way down towards to my locker only to find Kai....talking.
Shi*t the devil's cousin is here.
"-and so he must've grabbed me by the scruff of my neck and dragged me ou-" Catching the two besties in the middle of a heated discussion, an unwelcoming glare settled on my face as I made contact with them.
